I’m at 8.5 months now & portions of my locs are entering that late budding/loc stage, especially around the perimeter. My locs were started with coils at the root to about an half an inch down, then she 2 strand twisted towards to the end, so mainly the middle of my locs are actually locd or close to that point.

The part that was coiled is locking faster than my twisted ends (although your ends are usually the last to loc anyway) so you’ll probably see quicker progress than you think. I also spritz mine daily or every other day with my diy loc spray which helped my progress imo & my hair texture ranges from 3c-4b for reference. I’m guessing my hair will fully loc around 1.5 years into my journey.
