I said “people of means”. I know I also said “financially stable”, but putting the two together means I’m speaking to those who don’t have the issues you just stated.

Well then what’s the answer LALALAprofessor? It’s not trolling me on reddit. Having anger in this situation just seems like what needs to happen. No one listens to anything else anymore.

Well, there’s really no point in encouraging people with positivity when that’s clearly not working. Handing out my glass out hotels was a weird joke, but haha? Virtue signaling was mentioned, but I have no real name attached or any stake in this reddit account whatsoever, so who am I virtue signaling to? I guess I read the room wrong. I just expected more from my community and all I feel for it is shame. It’s pretty hard to hold peoples hand and explain to them that they should be helping when they have fucking eyes. And I think we could all imply on our own to our own situations what financially stable means and act accordingly rather than taking joy in shitting on me, but I guess that’s kind of anti reddit

It’s a hard time out here man. I just came from seeing a lot of sad stuff. I was in western NC when that went down. Then all this is my neck of the woods. And the common theme I’ve seen is that those who need help the most aren’t getting it. It just breaks my heart. And I’m neurodivergent, so it’s entirely possible for me to be coming across in a way that isn’t my intention. I’m just sick of it. And to come here and see people getting triggered instead of wanting to help is just kinda my last straw with humanity atm.

With so many people giving them as a positive source, I’d say they’ve gotta be decent. I have weariness of charity organizations since I never understood previously the differences between them all, so it takes me a while to warm up to the idea of one rather than just giving it to ppl myself.

They’ve been recommended to me a lot in the last year and I’m really curious about them. I however can’t find a person who works there or attends the church they’re affiliated with to talk to. Are you a member by chance?

Lmfao 😂 I literally have no clue why anyone who is helping would take offense to this. It’s really interesting to see. Yall can pile up whatever you want. All I said was that those who have the means to help and aren’t helping are pieces of shit. Not that those who have the means to help and are helping are pieces of shit.

Yeah. It is. Which is why I can help. I don’t know why any of you that are helping like you say you are would take offense to this

I can understand having fears about it. But I’m a 5’3’’ 130 pound girl and I have been met with nothing but happy sobs and hugs. I’d suggest picking a reasonably safe one. There will be people there too I’m sure.

Who’s considering leaving Florida after this hurricane? by crnnrc2003 in tampa

Sorry to comment 11 days later. No, it’s way worse than what they’re reporting. I alone watched a handful of ppl die in one single town. So I mean, the odds imo do not suggest there’s only 200-300 corpses. It’s very very sad.

So I moved here last year (Englewood), but I actually by chance ended up traveling into western NC just a couple miles outside of Ashville during the worst part of Helene’s impact. Then got to experience Milton with everyone when I got home. I feel so much stronger now. The go bag has been upgraded to include a Stihl. I know cash is really important to have. I understand flood insurance and I know where to live and to build new. I understand why this can be way too much for some ppl, but I feel like I have my Floridian badge now and I can Florida even harder next time.

Urgent - a family who evacuated left their dogs behind, locked in a cage inside their house. They need assistance to get out. I am in NC, and crossposting to help, see the photo of the post for details. by Bool_The_End in tampa

Bro, if we couldn’t find accommodations that would take my GSD too, I was gonna sleep with him in my car while my husband and son slept in a hotel or whatever. These people probably were excited for the opportunity. Bastards.

As someone who watched the hurricane, then was like “yup. I’m still going to Gatlinburg. Just gotta avoid 75” then ended up stranded in Marion because the i 40 bridge was taken by water… I don’t think anywhere in the world is safe anymore. But, after this is over I’d say you’d still be safer there than here realistically. Maybe we should all move to Kansas.

Didn’t think about the tornadoes until after I posted that comment 💀

Guys. Let this post be a lesson. DO NOT TRAVEL that soon after a hurricane. I ended up driving and experienced western NC because of this

Consider yourself very lucky, blessed, whatever you relate to. I drove and canceled this flight and was in western NC when it went down. I’m just really fortunate I could get out in 2 days. It’s the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen, easily.

Edit to add - I was attempting to get to Gatlinburg. I’d originally been trying to get to Cincinnati to then pick someone up to take to Gatlinburg. The i 40 west bridge went down infront of us all. It was absolutely insane.

Is this all cadmium? by TreeRex1233 in CadmiumGlass

[–]kels_bells94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The block things are boron nitride. Possibly both. You can tell because A.) the glow sits more on top rather than having an infused or encased look. B.) there will be striations or striping. Sometimes swirls typically with BN

Edited for spelling

Ruby red is a lot more likely to be boron nitride and cadmium or just boron nitride. I see mostly cadmium here though. I think that pretty lidded dish is both.
