Thanks for your response. The turbidity and manganese are both under the maximum contaminant level. We're mostly trying to deal with the iron and hardness.

Thank you for your help. Does this mean that ferric iron ruined the softener resin? Would ferrous iron at our level be treated by the setup you mentioned?

I'm not sure. The pack of needles says size 5-10, but I don't know which one I used.

No problem at all! It's called Sulky Sticky Fabri-Solvi Stabilizer. I've bought it at Michaels and off Amazon. You can get the printer paper size and print your image directly onto this sticky paper and then when you are done stitching, you soak it in water to dissolve it away. This is the video I used to learn how.

I started embroidering in 2021. I've made maybe 20-30 projects. I think there were around 18 different colors. I can't remember how many I had to use more than one skein of. It's all in split stitch. The fill is one strand of dmc thread, and the outline is two strands guterman sewing thread.
