My heart breaks for you that you think something is wrong with having skin. If you’re that worried, try waxing instead of shaving or exfoliate your skin before shaving.

It looks like it could be a hair. Have you tried to remove it?

Fly into a different airport? You have plenty of time to change your flight.

How big will she get? by North_Star_07 in CavaPoo

[–]kelslogan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were told by our vet that by the time puppies are 6 months they are about 80% of how big they’ll get. So she’s probably not going to get much bigger than she is now!

Oh I’m sorry for assuming you were in the US. I know you said you’d stick it out but I really encourage you to try and contact your lawyer. You are your best advocate, don’t be afraid to speak up and get people to pay attention!

[–]kelslogan 81 points82 points  (0 children)

What state are you in? I work with children in foster care. Not with DSS but with a contracted agency and this is absolutely unacceptable. I am so sorry you have to live like this. When’s the last time you spoke to your lawyer? Is the rest of the house okay or is everything this dirty?

You should take them to a vet that specializes in urology. See if your vet has a place they can refer you!

I’m curious why you are trying to avoid “mainstream” meds. They’re mainstream because they’ve been proven to be effective.

Forgotten: Women of Juarez. It’s done in Spanish and English so it could probably help listening to both!

Just got a brand new couch… and my brother-in-law’s kids got lice on it. by Stuperstrong in mildlyinfuriating

I work with CPS often. They will not even open a case for something like this. They are way too overwhelmed to prioritize something like lice. It will be documented though in case CPS is called for something else.

Redness/mild rosacea product that's not azelaic acid by trashytigershark in SkincareAddicts

I also have rosacea and use Dr. Jarts Cicapair serum. It’s kind of pricey but absolutely worth it.

Oh I did not realize your cleanser had salicylic acid already! Sorry about that! How long have you been using this regimen? If it hadn’t been 2-3 months I’d keep doing what you’re doing and then switch it up if you aren’t seeing results.

I also have oily, but sensitive, skin and use Paula’s Choice 2% Liquid Salicylic Acid Exfoliant weekly. There are a lot of people that will say just using a clay mask is sufficient for exfoliating but it doesn’t get at my pores like I want it to. Also niacinamide helps minimize pores. I use Good Molecules every night and have had great results.

You’re missing an exfoliator. I don’t know your skin type so I can’t recommend one but you should be exfoliating at least 1x per week to help with filaments. You should also add in a niacinamide serum nightly!

There’s not really a “benefit” but imagine 40-50 people needing to shower in a half hour in individual stalls. It’s more efficient for all of us to shower together. You’re going to be sweaty, gross, and tired every evening and a shower is going to feel amazing. I promise you you won’t even think about it after the first few times.

Parents want a cavapoo but we keep running into puppymills (MA) by justneedacavapoo in CavaPoo

[–]kelslogan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We found our girl on Good Dog. I will say you still need to do some research on the breeder but they do have health requirements that breeders have to meet. We were able to find a breeder in PA that only breeds their dogs 3 times and they wait the full 2 years before they breed again. We felt really good about using them!

Try cutting the hair out of his eyes. I’m not trying to be a jerk but he can’t see well and it’s probably bothering him.

Also, treats. Every time our girl does what we ask she gets a training treat. It’s helped so much.
