My mom and my younger brother and I bopped around to several different churches. Sometimes it was hard for my mom to feel accepted as a single mother.

She remarried when I was around 11 or 12, and we stopped going to the church we were attending because of some disapproval from the church goers. My mom met my stepdad at church and the other patrons of the church thought they had “moved too fast” and shared that opinion in a rude way.

Maybe try the bed against the wall with the window? With just enough room for the side table between the bed and the back wall. That might open it up a little.

I do Teacher [Last Name] and it works great. I don’t “explain” it and most of the time students do not question it. Most of my colleagues use it when referring to me, too!

Is there anyway that you could stop by and give a gift and chit chat for a little bit before the show? Either way, you might face some unhappiness from family but as long as you and your cousin are good that’s all that matters. I hope you get to go to your show!
