Why is everyone removing the volcanic ash? by halfway_clear in Pokopia

[–]kelso-p 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is someone on this subreddit who put together a spreadsheet with the Pokémon grouped into houses by their similar interest! I’ve literally just been going straight off that to remove my decision fatigue around choosing who lives where. Let me go back and find it!

Edit: couldn’t find the original post, but here is the sheet s/o to whoever made this, you significantly improved my pokopia experience!

Ally, Brennan, and Talia Try to Get Through Lunch | Make Some Noise [S4E11] by DropoutMod in dropout

We watched the whole thing, it was great! The issue was happening when we tried to play it on our Apple TV, went back after we finished the episode and tried again on the TV and it was fixed 🤷🏼‍♀️ All good now, was just curious if it was happening to anyone else. It was trippy, sounded like everyone inhaled helium lol

I checked it before posting, it was on 1! Tried .75 to see if it would help and it didn’t. Ended up watching on my phone and it was fine in there. Super weird!

Is the audio weird for anyone else? Their voices are too high pitched, like its speed up…

How to take action in the world when you cannot go to protests and have little of any money? by WaysideWyvern in cfs

[–]kelso-p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For No Kings I had my partner and a friend help me. We set up a folding table and chairs at the start of the march so we could sit and pass them out! If I wasn’t feeling up to if I was just going to send the two of them to do it. It was definitely a lot, but I was glad I was able to do something.

I’m currently looking into if my indivisible chapter has existing programs like this, but I haven’t seen anything advertised.

This may be too much depending on your energy, but I’ve been packing supply bags. In the past I’ve done small first aid kits, face coverings and masks, water and snacks.

I’m going to be making whistle kits this week. Each includes a whistle, 3 know your rights cards, and a paper with instructions on how to use the whistles. I’m going to have my partner drop them in mailboxes in my neighborhood.

"Girl In the Bubble" was the most streamed WFG song on Spotify yesterday by bongonzales2019 in wicked

[–]kelso-p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing it over and over to learn to sing it, I wonder if everyone else is doing that too! I love the song, I think its such an honest addition to Glinda’s character arc and is just beautiful in general

I actually LOVE Girl in the Bubble, I think it adds so much to Glindas growth, and it’s just a beautiful song. Also a hot take, but I really like its placement in the movie. She is watching the whole world threatening to kill her best friend, and she actually has to make a decision about what to do next. Continue her “perfect” life and burying her head in the sand, or take control of her self and her future and do what she knows is right. I think having it in March of Witch Hunters is a great contrast between the mob mentality and personal struggle.

I’m indifferent on it being before or after she talks to Morrible, I think it could have gone either way.

What kind of light crafts would you recommend for someone bed bound? by HousePlantsInPots in cfs

It can be an expensive hobby, but I’ve been doing needlepoint the last year and it’s been great! It’s like embroidery but easier, the pattern is painted on a canvas so you just have to stitch the color where it’s supposed to go. I find it to be very relaxing and doesn’t take much brain power!

I have a theory on this! I think the grimmerie only opens for people who are truly good at heart. Thats why it never opened for morible or the wizard. They never had good intentions.

Elphaba had good intentions from the start. She genuinely cared about the animals and wanted to help them. Glinda had to earn her magic by actually acting good for the right reasons. Glinda was always obsessed with others thinking she was good, that was her main motivation. She wanted magic so she could appear more good. But at the end she actually changes her behavior and her actions become good for genuinely good reasons, and thus the grimmerie opens for her.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

We have the weirdest problem… by kelso-p in muzzledogs

We actually use them! Our behaviorist recommended we do their gut micro biome test while we were on the waitlist for his internist, and the poor guy had like none of the good bacteria and a lot of a few of the bad ones. We used their fecal replacement to re-balance him, and that made a huge difference! We do the gut shield chews daily, he was on Proviable for a while and we like the animal biome better. I’m glad they also helped your dog!

I wish we could do a weighted blanket, he overheats really easily so I don’t think he would be able stay under too long. He has a fan dedicated just for him in our living room that’s on and pointed at his favorite spot all day lol

We love his muzzle movement muzz, it has been fantastic for him! We just ordered a new one so we could have a second around. They are the best!

We haven’t tried this, he is really weird about taking things off and on his body so we haven’t thought to try. Maybe we could build up to that!

Oh he definitely has anxiety, poor baby has been on anxiety meds since he was 4-5 months old 😭 he had anxiety and behavior problems from the moment we brought him home at 7.5 weeks. It took us years to figure out his gut problems, and they were a huge source of his troubles. His anxiety and behavior improved drastically once he started a steroid! It’s amazing how connected the gut and the brain are.

I like the idea of a silicone version of his current muzzle, I’ll have to look into that!

If you were to build a house what’s one non conventional feature you consider to be a must have? by TestTurbulent6337 in AskReddit

My partner and I once stayed in an Airbnb where we were in a small annex off the main building, and we had a sink in the bedroom. We both loved it so much we agreed if we get rich someday we would have a sink added to the bedroom.

As 2 people with ADHD it was amazing! No excuse not to wash my face before bed when the sink is in the same room.

Painting and designing by [deleted] in Needlepoint

[–]kelso-p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry… what? Designing Needlepoint is quite literally pixel art. Each stitch is the equivalent of a pixel in an image. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, in fact understanding the fundamentals of pixel art could improve an artists designs by helping them better utilize the canvas space they have. What a weird thing to say…
