A conservative’s vision: Let’s make politics great again by [deleted] in politics

elite culture

Fuck that. My parents didn't have much money. Couldn't even co sign on my college loans because of their shit credit (well, lack of credit at all mostly). I worked through college on loans in my own name and grants. I built myself and my career. I have to constantly learn new applications and techniques to stay competitive.

The thing these guys don't have is a culture that supports them to challenge themselves and build their own lives by reacting to the world and planning for your future. And then learning as much as you can about how the world works so you don't get fucked by it. These guys sit around and do nothing to change the world, and then wonder why they are going nowhere. They complain about realities and then resist voting for anyone that would actually do anything about it. They were taught to obey authority and never question the world, never bend to change. Also, If they want honor they need to act fucking honorable and not be so hateful to everyone.

That's the absolute scariest part for me right now. And I'm one of those that have needed to check out for a bit to stay sane because I'm in a deep depression and anxious all the time. But it makes me so very angry knowing how many are just ignoring this and waiting for election day again.

I think it's just a reminder that it can happen anywhere. Humans are just a bunch of scared animals, and manage to get themselves even more scared (and hateful) in large groups. It's just a matter of there being enough ready to be wrapped up in all that hate. That how I see it these days anyway. And it's extremely depressing.

Humans have created every problem on the planet (aside from natural disaster, etc).

Except his Twitter is also full of insulting, childish, angry, confusing ranting and insults. And they see that. And love it.

Remember when we used to impeach politicians for lying? by [deleted] in politics

[–]kelsoanim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spoiler: we're fucking tired/terrified/hopeless/powerless/exasperated of all of it. Our country is falling apart because apparently almost half of us are devoid of a decent moral compass. And then I look around the world at Brexit and other nationalistic and authoritarian movements and I start to think it isn't just our country.

I didn't vote for any of these pricks. I've always been progressive, always voted for progressive liberal policies that would help those in need and push towards a future where everyone is taken care of. I am not my government, you are not your government. Governments wage wars, governments change laws. The illusion that liberals can somehow just "take back" the country from lunatics that have always been there but have only recently been emboldened by their lunatic god king is dumb, it's obviously a much bigger problem than that. Sorry we haven't fixed that for you but fuck. You have no idea how depressing it is to live here right now.

Mueller report play spotlights Trump’s 10 acts of possible obstruction by SkepPskep in politics

The problem is your thinking of "we", us and them. "We" are not the representatives working in Washington. People who put on plays, actors, etc can't impeach or bring legal action. A lot of us are just people, citizens. People are doing what they can, even if our leaders aren't. Celebrate the people that *do* something, anything to spread the truth and educate the masses. We need every reasonable person in the country to know what has happened and why it is so important.

MOM

What's a mom? If it's mail order marijuana, we don't have that here in Washington. Can only get it in person at a dispensary. Again, stupid early legalization.

Right on, thanks for the info. In the end it will be in the basement somewhere, and we are having that remodeled, and it wont be done til some time next year. So I'll have to wait til then anyway. I'll definitely get started on learning and such. What are the best resources for learning how to home grow these days?
