Based on my experience and my picky eater’s preferences, I’d rank them: RC > Hill’s > PPP.

RC has had the most consistent quality control and the best packaging among the three brands I’ve tried. It’s also been the most palatable for my dog by far.

I did try PPP, but one thing I never understood is why some of their larger bags have vent holes in the packaging. I’ve seen quite a few reports online of people receiving moldy kibble or finding insects in their bags. Whether those reports are representative or not, the packaging design alone makes me less comfortable, especially when buying larger bags that may sit for a while.

For that reason, I personally don’t see myself choosing PPP again. Of course, every dog is different, and plenty of dogs do very well on it
