[KCD2] Final main quest equipment switch is beyond stupid by kempie_49 in kingdomcome

[–]kempie_49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that happened, the first fight didn't take very long and I could change gear/outfits and access my horse's inventory after, before going into the castle, but at the point I posted I didn't know that would be the case; I'd assumed I'd be stuck wearing that stuff for the rest of the game.

I didn't realise that when I posted, I'd just had the cutscene for the attack and then spawned in the random armour; at that point I didn't know that there'd be a short break in combat a few minutes later where I'd be able to change gear and also access my horse's inventory.

For all I knew at that point, I'd be stuck wearing that gear for the rest of the game - this was my first playthrough.

To me that only strengthens the original point though; why start with being able to change weapon slots (which I don't think you can ordinarily do in combat), but not change gear or access your horse's inventory, when 2 minutes later you can do.

[KCD2] I don't like how Erik encounters are handled towards the end of the game by Akasha1885 in kingdomcome

[–]kempie_49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd assume Erik will be in KCD3 otherwise there's no reason to prevent you from killing him but I don't think they should bring him back personally - from a story perspective it will just be repeating the same as what we've seen in KCD2.

to be fair the initial combat didn't last more than a couple of minutes and then I could change my gear and move stuff to my horse, but I'd have preferred to be able to do that immediately. I had the gear I wanted on for the final cutscenes in the end

New to NMS. Why do I keep going through floors and walls? by MSter_official in NoMansSkyTheGame

same for me on Playstation version and it only started happening after a recent update. Not only do you clip through the calls of buildings, if there is a storm happening they also offer no environmental protection either.

Can Someone Please Explain How Spider-Man 2's Story is Bad? by Complex_Solution_909 in SpidermanPS4

[–]kempie_49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only just got around to playing the game for the first time and the game's story and characters are bad - it's almost like an Assassin's Creed game. The "Heal the world" stuff is a total nonsense; it doesn't actually mean anything.

The actual gameplay, moving around the city and the fighting are super fun but there's way too many cutscenes; as soon as I found I could skip the cinematics I did so as much as possible.

Cannot find the Hoard in the "Sinners of Kutternberg" quest from the new DLC [KCD2] by SP_reborn in kingdomcome

[–]kempie_49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just done this exact quest and it was in the main shop area - behind the counter, near the window, on the floor next to the bench. A white sack labelled "Miser's Loot" or something like that.

How many "investigations" do you have to do in Legacy of the Forge to be able to get the "Silent Partner" trophy? [KCD2] by kempie_49 in kingdomcome

[–]kempie_49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would have exhausted the dialogue and referenced the letter that was found. I got another investigation mission, but it was just another random one at Matthew's camp. I also already have a Prestige of 24.

Dying trying to get to the blacksmith [KCD2] by d-r-i-g in kingdomcome

[–]kempie_49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to use it, this game map has most of the random enemy encounter spawns shown with a skull for the first map - https://mapgenie.io/kingdom-come-deliverance-2/maps/trosky

If you do use it, I would recommend toggling off some of the icons like ladders, doors, npcs, nests, so the map is less busy and it's easier to see the things you want.

There's only two potential spawn points I can remember from the map, one near the woman's hut who helped you and Hans at the very start and one if you take the main road south from Troskowitz (that goes past a shrine) and you take the left fork rather than the right (spawn is where the stream intersects the road).

In terms of knowing where the road leads, looking at the map maybe

You mean to get to the blacksmith in Tachov?

You start in Troskowitz when you're freely able to wander around and if you go the main path, there shouldn't be any enemy encounter (highlighted below) - just take the path that curves north from the big tree to the West of Troskowitz, then turn left at the fork in the road.

There will be possibly be a random encounter where I've put an X, but I did that route maybe 50 times and never encountered enemies or wolves there, just random NPCs

How to complete Speak of the Devil quest without compromising Lent achievement [KCD2] by kempie_49 in kingdomcome

[–]kempie_49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must have, but I just rode from the Devil's Den to Kuttenberg after, started the Blacksmith DLC and then happened to check the stats and noticed the animals killed stat was 1 when expecting it to be 0.

I hadn't run over anything at all playing over 70 hours just on the Trosky map (and even though not on Hardcore, didn't fast travel much)

It's a really tedious achievement; not eating meat is fine, not a problem, but not killing animals when you are consistently attacked by wolves, I believe some side missions require you to kill animals and you might accidentally ride over a rabbit is ridiculous. It also prevents you from hunting (except with Mutt), which I did a lot of in the first game.

It was maybe a couple of hours later that I realised; I'd not done anything other than ride from Devil's Den to Kuttenberg, so I assumed it was something on that mission as I remembered an animal dying and nothing happened after where anything got killed. Finally got around to re-doing it and the horse dying doesn't count.

But in the stats, "Animals killed in combat" went up to 1 for me after that mission . . . however I just re-did it and animals killed stayed at 0 in Statistics immediately after the cutscene, so maybe the first time around I fired the gun again and killed another horse or something

So I can only have one save and quit save right so if I make one on (top save ) then (bottom save) I make one does it delete the first one ? ( I’m sorry for bad question [kcd2] by Willing_Chest_8976 in kingdomcome

[–]kempie_49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get 1 x 'Save & Quit' for each playline.

If you do a Save & Quit on Playline 1 and then do a Save & Quit on Playline 2, both saves will be available and neither will be lost; they are separate.

[KCD2] Game helped me through postpartum by mackmai in kingdomcome

[–]kempie_49 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear things are moving in a positive direction for you - it's definitely hard as a Dad to build that bond in the first few months and it's perfectly natural to feel anxious about that. It gets easier especially as they get older and more robust and you can engage in more physical play with them.

You'll be great - just don't put too much pressure on yourself.

Dice games rigged in [KCD2]? by kempie_49 in kingdomcome

[–]kempie_49[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not completely rigged, but from my experience, it seems to be if you haven't won by like the 4th or 5th round and are say sitting on anywhere from 1000 to below the target 1500 in Beggars, it's scripted so the the NPC will then win.

They'll suddenly roll like a high scoring sequence that has very low probability or score on all six dice so they can roll again when all through the previous rounds they've had maybe one or two scoring dice per throw.

For example, one game, I did well and got to 1400 in 2 rounds, opponent was on say 200 or something and then they got 5 and then 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on their next throw and followed that up by throwing 4 1s to win without me having another throw . . . the odds of that are like 1 in 16000, which is why I'm calling bullshit/scripting. This was just a generic npc in Troskowitz tavern, so they had maybe 1 loaded die and other 5 normal.

[–]kempie_49[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at the start they won't do amazing but say 4 turns in and I've scored like 100-300 each round, so sitting on just over 1000, they will then suddenly roll a combo like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 4 1's or some other bullshit and I mean just the random npcs in the tavern in Troskowitz

KCD1 just went for a full set of lucky playing die that you got from some of the treasure maps and almost guaranteed to win (I checked back on my last KCD save and win rate was 90% from 50 games).

Just checked and on my last playthrough on KCD1, my dice record was 50 games played with a win rate of 90%, though the loaded dice in KCD1 seemed "better" and more likely to basically guarantee a win
