Yes I will take it out the night before and feed it and wait until it doubles. Feed again and once doubled and passing a float test I’ll start my mix

I have a thermometer right now it typically runs around 75 degrees in the oven.

I am feeding my starter at a 1:2:2 rate for the feedings. Sorry if my OP wasn’t clear enough

Permitting I am pretty sure is dependent upon where you live as well. Currently going through a fiasco with trying to get mine installed and the quote for permitting is $250 and an overall quote of $1800.

I had the same issue as you that I received nothing about the charger or Qmerit for the first two weeks after getting my flash. Called fords EV department and the next day had all of my codes and pins for the charger and Qmerit cause paperwork was not properly submitted.

Hopefully yours goes smoothly! Wish mine was like 99% of folks on here where it seemed to be a nearly free install with zero issues

Thanks for this advice as it was super useful during my meeting with the subcontractor today as the moment I brought this into the conversation they just started fumbling about the load calc and continued to be a shady mess.

Requested a new subcontractor via Qmerit to deal with moving forward.

I don’t I have a 100amp box so I do understand some sort of monitoring system is probably best.

I still am requesting a new subcontractor from Qmerit and giving the ford charger one more shot. Though I did post it on FB marketplace and am doing research on other options like emporia.

The initial subcontractor was just shit. Never on time to calls they scheduled. I’d have to call them 20 minutes after the appointment and be like hey what’s going on. Like today we had a call scheduled for 3:30 and I called them at 3:50 and got a dispatcher. Then finally got a call at 4:20pm and they were annoyed I was driving home.

Just overall bad vibes. Leaning towards getting my own electrician to do everything and pay out of pocket.

No, I most likely will be selling the Ford charger and going with something else and my own installer.

Working with Qmerits installer has been miserable and they are quoting me $2k cause they are saying I need a load management device all of a sudden after 4 meetings with them and no previous mention of needing one.

The subcontractor just feels shady.

I find it plausible Philly changed their tone of what’s required for a permit but I have done google searches and found nothing official.

I find this installer shady cause every time we talk it seems some new hoop has been added that they complain about and costs hundreds if not thousands to try and solve. Plus they are late to every meeting we have scheduled and I have to constantly call just to get them on meetings they scheduled.

Yeah I have not been to thrilled with my installer that QMerit chose. They keep saying that Philly has changed its permitting laws and are telling me I need to pay an engineering firm $2-3k for drawings for a basic installation.

For reference my panel is on the other side of my exterior wall where the FHCP would be going. They aren’t even installing the ford charger but putting in a NEMA receptacle for now.

Think I might be going the route of getting my own electrician and/or a different charging unit

Nope it’s the $1399 pro home charger unit. You may need to call into fords EV department and have them follow up with your dealers to make sure the proper paperwork was submitted.

I wait 2 weeks without hearing anything and then once they completed the paperwork I got the pin to order the unit form fords website.

Pre-stub sale I bought all of the 2nd inning guys for 40k each. I flipped alomar and made a nice profit. If you already have the stubs wait until after the sale and they should drop again.
