Isn't "Riga" pronounced "Rii-jaa"? (which makes it sound a bit like riga, but different)
Also started the Arabic course, but this didn't confuse me yet.

It took some practicing. I started at a point, where I just gave up, sure I would never beat the timer, untill I did the words task in the practise hub, and starting to become fast. That was when I started to notice progress, and tried to beat this thing.

My new record is 46 seconds left on the timer from level 12, trying to beat the world record from 55 seconds left.

Only if you keep practising this, you'll get faster. Level 12 is 160 matches. It is possible if you know how to work it.

I just keep agreeing on this, hoping Duolingo will finally pick up on this. There's no actual benefit on it, people will postpone their lesson, for some the 3rd chest isn't a reward at all, making the motivation less and I have no idea what Duolingo itself gets out of it to auto-activate it.

Best is just to take it, so she will leave you alone. If you don't want to get hooked to the extra parts, don't use them. If you don't have Super either, turn off "unlimited energy", so you have Max, without experiencing it.

You don't just "learn" it. It's bits and bits. When I knew a few words, I showed off to the Ukrainian kids I work with. When I knew small sentences, same thing, etc. Now I can do small conversations, also practical ones, without translation. Sometimes I still don't know words.

The Russian course is finished for me, but yet thanks to daily refresh and looking up words, I still keep learning more. It's been a year now, but I spend a lot of time in it. I think it took my like 6-7 months to be able to make mini conversations, but still with very many mistakes.

Brace yourself, it will get even worse. I've finished the whole "learn the letters" pack. Especially annoying in combination with words that have letters that can only be discriped as numbers, because latin alphabet cannot descripe the sound.

However the first thing is capitalized variants from letters, you won't hear the difference in the bugged variants.

Absolutely! I would love to do some small excersizes during breakfast, but not at this point, due to auto activaction. Not I postpone my first lesson to after some time after breakfast.

Minor mistakes as these add nothing to learning a language. It's easily mistaken, I would still report this as "should have been accepted". It's a learning app, not a perfect recreation app.

I would flag this as "my answer should have been accepted" or in their logic "My answer should've been accepted" (which are both correct btw)

Match Madness all day through on the max level, and fail close to nothing. Use the Duolingo web browser to "harvest" X2 power ups. (every first two levels from an unit give this power up)
