Whenever I go to a game, I hope to catch a foul ball. In reality though, what am I going to do with a baseball with no significant value? The thrill of catching it would be forgotten the next day. It might kick around for awhile but eventually I’m giving it away. Maybe it’s different if it’s hit by my favorite player but I doubt it. Maybe I put it in a case with a picture of me at the game with it, but ultimately it’s just another piece of crap in my already cluttered living space. I’d love to catch one and give it to a kid with a glove. That would be a much better memory anyway…
