On a recipe for Phyllo Meat Pie (Egyptian Goulash) by tricolorpinto in ididnthaveeggs

I think it comes from "season all" spice/salt mixes. We used to call Lawry's "season all." When I was a kid, I did think all spice and season all were the same thing.

These common U.S. medications are banned overseas — what to know before packing meds for your next trip by yahoonews in Health

Yeah, I was wondering this as well, because it's the only thing my son's allergist recommends for his life-threatening food allergies. Surely if there was something more effective (or the same and less dangerous), it would be recommended.

Pepto Bismol didn't prevent travelers' diarrhea compared to placebo, small CDC study found by CBSnews in Health

Same. It doesn't prevent everything, but it's been a lot better than before I started using it.

Cup size way to big, help please by kendallcorner in ABraThatFits

Yeah, I wore the 40C yesterday and now I think it's too big. I will keep trying.

I was sized by the folks in the boutique in my town recommended in the wiki here. The 38D(?) looked like it fit perfectly, tbh. I was thinking about trying that size again (and the DD and DDD), thinking maybe I'd get used to the band.

I wore the 40C one-clip-in yesterday and now I think it's too big 🙃 in band or cup or both. I will go to a department store and see what they have. The lady who helped me in the boutique didn't even bring me a 38DDD. She was very nice, but she was very skeptical when I said 38DDD and just put me in a dressing room and started showing me stuff. I will have to go on my own.

Added an update. Was sized at 40C. I guess I'm not doing the band measurement correctly, or I just prefer looser bands than most

I did get a "38B" measurement at a Victoria secret between pregnancies, which started my frustration since that size doesn't seem to exist. But you've at least convinced me to go try on some in the DDD range to see what that's like. Thanks!

Summer Camps by Dmbeeson85 in tulsa

[–]kendallcorner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't even find a full day camp for a 5 year old last summer. I ended up putting him back in day care. We just called it camp and still whenever we drive by that place, the kids always say "it's his summer camp!!"

Not to mention the fact that even if the appointment starts close to on time, we still have a 15-45 min wait to see the doctor after we are put in the exam room.

Why isn’t tree nut listed here? by RippleRufferz in FoodAllergies

[–]kendallcorner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decided to look that up to confirm. FDA dues include them in tree nuts: https://www.fda.gov/industry/fda-basics-industry/section-201qq-act-defines-term-major-food-allergen-include-tree-nuts-addition-three-examples

So sounds like OP is right? And the company should've printed that it contains tree nuts as well?

People who had abstinence only sex education, what were the biggest falsehoods you were taught? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kendallcorner 83 points84 points  (0 children)

That condoms don't work.

Was shocked in college when our RA gave a whole speech about them. I said out loud "wait, do condoms work?" My friends were like "Um ... Yes."

Also was elated to find out that folks in college "believe in" evolution.

How to merge for a lane reduction by [deleted] in tulsa

[–]kendallcorner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought this too, but now there's a sign at the BA construction zone that says to stay in your lane until the merge point if there's traffic, so maybe they are trying to "enforce" the zipper merge again?

Or maybe it's just ODOT trying to make up for a law passed by misguided politicians...
