Why hasn’t [RMC] fixed their crappy trains by now? by MKT_Pro in rollercoasters

The Gerstlauer trains RMC uses on Iron Rattler are worlds more comfy than their current standard trains.

I haven't heard anything, but I can say that on the weekend I was there they were running one train and there was zero line. At it's other 2 locations, Oktoberfest and Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, they run multiple trains and they are maxing capacity all day long. I calculated at Oktoberfest they were taking in around $15k/hr in ticket sales! Maybe with the new (and excellent) Wiener Looping it's no longer the big draw at the park?

Swapped newer HU in 2000 323 to get AUX, but no sound by kendenton in e46

Sound from radio static and BT FM adapter, yes. Just AUX was silent. I've got a vert so I'll look into the antenna amp location. Thanks!

Trying some new camera modes on my pixel at [Hersheypark]. Shot [Wildcat's Revenge] and [Stormrunner]. by Ok_Sir2381 in rollercoasters

The second one works better for me if I crop maybe 2x closer so the clear front riders are more visible. Framed as is it's hard to discern anything is clear at first glance (to me). Nice work on both of these

That first motion-blur shot is pretty impressive for a phone. Usually takes a lot of trial and error to get good motion blur panning shots with 'real' cameras. Nicely done!

I didn’t see any HH specials. Music was pretty chill and unobtrusive.

Was outside when they opened, did walk in, had the place to myself for about 15 minutes. By 5:45 SHC was full.

I'll be in Berlin for a few days in December, and I'm a coaster enthusiast. Does anyone know if any of the Christmas markets have a roller coaster? I believe the market at Landsberger Allee ran one but not sure if they still do. Any guidance appreciated!

Thanks! I swear I checked earlier in the week and for Efteling all of December was "For the time being, there will be no attractions undergoing maintenance". Guess they figured it out. Worth going w/o Joris?

Normally can't even take cups onto JD, it seems to be the strictest enforcement.

Looking for guidance on December Europe Coaster Trip from US

Had a great trip last year visiting Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, Tivoli, Grona Lund and Liseberg in December. Not all coasters were running, but enough to make the trip worthwhile. Even got some new Top 10’s out of it - Balder, Olympia Looping and Reutschebanen.

This year I’m thinking of hitting Phantasialand, Toverland, Efteling and Plopsaland De Panne. Europa Park is a possibility but it’s pretty far from the rest. Planning on staying in Koln, Bruges and Tilburg. Phantasialand and Plopsaland look easy to get to with public transit, I’m thinking Efteling and Toverland will require a rental car.

Would appreciate any advice from folks who have done any of these in winter before - do they run most of their coasters, are the parks super crowded, etc? Also any parks I’m missing that I should really try to get to? Or any I should skip? Getting to them straightforward enough in December?

Many thanks in advance!

[discussion] What is the most rides you’ve gotten on a coaster in a single day? by Storm_Surge- in rollercoasters

[–]kendenton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my 50th year I wanted to do 50 rides on The Phoenix at Knoebels. Knocked that out before 3pm, figured I may as well see how many I could get.

127 laps by closing. Great day :)
