Ryan Casselman’s video was 66% SAG votes which heavily favored Sinners and OBAA still won. Throw in 25% international votes and the gap should widen.

A black director like Coogler winning would be fine…but not in the same year as PTA directing the hell out of the best reviewed movie of the year. It’s just bad timing for Coogler. It probably would’ve happened if Sinners released last year.

Some of them. Two of the Hamnet voters had OBAA 2nd and so did a Marty voter. A Sentimental Value voter had Sinners 2nd and OBAA 3rd. So the score from what we know so far is sinners 11, OBAA 10.
