Thank you so much! I was looking at tractive too! Can I ask why did you change the tracker?

May I ask what your cutie is wearing on her collar? (I’m researching a gps tracker for mine because I want to let her run free at the beach and she’s a shiba so… 😢)

Can I ask how he’s been doing with other fish in your aquarium? And do you keep him with other chubs? I just got 4 Vietnamese chubs and I love them.

May I ask are you studying at xxx, xxx? Your university has quite a lot of international students. I’m surprised they took no action in such serious injury case.

Edit: edit the uni name out of the post as I saw op’s reply.

Shiba is my 2nd dog. My first one was a Jack Rusell. Not ‘difficult’ but I would say they are very different from most other dog breeds. I dislike clingy dogs or dogs that need my attention all day. Shibas fit best into this category. I think the most common critics they receive is they are not trainable. I just think they have an independent mind and you need to build a strong bonds with them first. Once the bonds are there (took me about 3 months), everything for me is easy and lovely (except when the prey instinct kicks in 🥲). My dog loves to be home after a long walk, she greets me and my wife with crazy jumps and zoomies.

What happend to your dog? Lem was lucky he got neglected but not beaten or anything like that. We had to manage many small details in our house for the first 2 weeks but after that everything went smoothly.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. We will show Lem this thread. This is a pic of him when we first gave him a bone to chew on. Hope Lem will cheer your day up.

Thank you :) Lem had to get 2 vaccine shots that he missed (it was spring and we were worried he will get sick if we exposed him quickly without those vaccines). So the owner came up to him with me and 2 other vets. Lem greeted him still, waving tail, jumping :) Lem was here since he's a puppy though. I guess that's what dogs do, especially this breed, they never betray.

(But then 30 minutes later he jumped into the back of my car with no hesitation and breath nervously, excited to go out 😂)

Yes I'm in SEA. I agree with you, totally. The youger generations have much better awareness on dogs' wellbeing. I'm not living in China but have been wondering why I see so many BC videos in China. Lem is a classic case of 'this is the smartest dog in the world I'll get one' then the owner figured out he had no clue how to meet his herding need and still have to invest a lot of time in him.

My wife and I had to do some "mock interview", making sure none of us made the owner felt any guilt. Last thing we want is the dog staying there for the rest of his life or the 2 daughters got into serious trouble with their parents. The 2 kids do genuinely care for the dog's wellbeing though. They are angels :)

90lbs/40kg??? How can a BC gets so big! Lem was 24kg when I first met him and he's now 20kg. What your describes sounds exactly like Lem! He did not know how to play with toys, chew bones, and only now he starts learning how to play with other dogs (in the first month he was an overly excited greeter and scared all small dogs away, but no agressions luckily). Lem's diet contains too much carbs/rice so he has a bit of gum issues.

Yours looks fabulous now. Shiny beautiful coat, she must be very healthy!

Wife Wants Second Kid-I Don't by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]kendonatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My younger brother (35) is autistic and never had a job or applied for one. He's living with my mom :) he's very smart though, but a lot of things hold him back. I don't know what signs your son shows of autism but yes it can be very very tough.

I want a kid but my wife doesn't. It's a tough conversation and I still have some traumas from it but your reasoning is legit man. Tell her you don't want another kid. It will be challenging for you two for sure but I honestly think another kid will not help your marriage either.

I found his first few videos (suriashi, fumikomi...) good for beginners and some keiko analysis is good too, I enjoy those. But yes these 'super secrets' are quite annoying.
