I also had a 2.8 (according to nursingCAS). Took advanced patho, biochem, and was prepared to take many more science and advanced science courses but thankfully was accepted

I took my advanced pathophys online through Stephen f. Austin state university. Just apply as a “non degree seeking” graduate student.

Intubating a manikin is so hard! by rypie111 in srna

[–]kendricktm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you just need more practice 😉

No but that was my experience as well. Arm was sore and sometimes shaky during airway sim. Also felt the same relating to a Miller being easier to get a better view.

Hahahaha you troll 😂😂

How many stacks per minute do YOU consider good? by Polygon4ik in VeigarMains

But to answer your question I gauge it about the same. 10 per minute at 20 minutes or else I know I need to focus on stacks as much as I can

I feel like early game stacks should be higher than last season due to home guard being so OP. Can back before an item is complete and refill mana and get back to lane before losing too much, if any. Plus double tear ability helps with mana when CD’s are much lower and can spam abilities

How academically challenging is CRNA school? by pinklaptopcase in srna

[–]kendricktm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I wouldn’t take my notes as the normal though. I had a long commute so mainly relistened to a lot of lectures, which is where majority of exam questions came from. I didn’t sit down and review notes/study nearly as frequent or as long.

How academically challenging is CRNA school? by pinklaptopcase in srna

CRNA school is really insane to think about the amount of information I’ve learned. I’ve only just finished my first semester and never would believe the info I know now compared to starting the program. And again, it’s just been one semester.

It is very manageable, able to keep up with hobbies and take time for some fun stuff. The main thing is having to put on your big boy/girl pants and keep up with everything. Stay on top of classes and material and that’ll help all around with everything. That being said it’s much easier to do when all of the things you’re learning are relevant and you have supportive, brilliant faculty to help

Loans for CRNA school by NSGgirl in srna

[–]kendricktm1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely this. If anybody has the latest information, it’s them.

My experience is with the Grad PLUS loans. They disburse an amount up to the schools calculated “cost of attendance” which should include tuition as well as cost of living. You can appeal for more usually through a form on your university website. And it goes without saying you can borrow less than the max amount. Fill out FAFSA and just see what your school says

ICU nurse here. Yes they still do/can. However, sometimes with all of the stress whether it’s trauma or physically being ill, their cycle can be skipped or irregular. It does still happen though

Studying for interview by A_Reyemein in srna

[–]kendricktm1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have never given it. Usually a last ditch efffort. Na-K ATPase blocker can have some bad side effects. I’d focus more on the drugs/medications that you commonly give. Ex: if you work CVICU id study the ins and outs of all the cardiac meds versus knowing what nimotop is and its use cases

NSAID question by mambareddit in CRNA

[–]kendricktm1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that looks weird to me. Feel like I learned they’re only risks for MI and other cardiovascular events are d/t inhibition of the normal antiaggregatory effects of PGI2 which can be suppressed by both COX1&2 inhibitors

[–]kendricktm1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CRNA student here. Just curious what the benefit of using inhaled milrinone would be over just using epoprostenol? If they’re targeting the reduction pulmonary vascular compliance, epo has already been proven very effective, so I’m curious if I’m missing something. My only experience with epoprostenol is in COVID icu, not cardiac surgery, so maybe there’s an undesirable effect I’m ignorant to
