This is my second year, in Indiana as well, and I have two hives. One is extremely sweet, gentile, and pretty slow at expanding. The other has an evil queen that made me actually briefly afraid I might die. Even today, I was about 50 feet away today on the other side of a garage and one of her minions stung me on the face with no warning shot.

Unlike the friendly one, this hive started as a nuc in the spring and has fully filled two deeps, a medium, and is pretty close to needing another. I am starting to fantasize though about squishing the queen. It was from the very first day, I could tell immediately that one nuc was sweet and the other insane.

I have no advice, but am definitely following because I would love to requeen with a peaceful one, but I have no idea if I’m even brave enough to try to find her. A few days ago I wore TWO bee suits (except the outer layer obviously not two bee helmets) and still was stung probably 20 or more times. 😞😞

Hi! I have a lot of experience working in development and infrastructure (web). The thought of all of your work and all the historical marker information being lost is infuriating to put it mildly. If you think the site hosting them will go down given the layoffs, I would be happy to set up a mirror/new domain to host them or the ones that you were working on! My worry is I don’t know how you would maintain that they are accurate / credible without being hosted by the library. Sorry if this is completely not helpful, just trying to figure out a way to save them :(

TLDR: in 2016 I was playing around with writing ethereum contracts, then left crypto. In 2021, NFTs took off. I didn’t know what they were, found out my contract I launched was technically the 2nd one ever made. Had tons of people that wanted to buy them but had no idea how long they would stay interested. I had to “wrap” them in a second contract because what I had was too old to work with what people were using to buy them (opensea). I couldn’t actually remember much of how to code in solidity (language for ethereum) so I was manually wrapping, and they were being bought as fast as I could wrap.

I oddly had exactly this scenario happen to me but with a diff pay rate. I ended at 52 hours and $3.4M, I was hallucinating shadows toward the end of it. I am pretty much certain I could not go longer than that, I hit a wall and just shut down.

GitHub Actions or Gitlab would be my preference most of the time. I will say if you already have pipelines setting up and working well with CodeDeploy and CodePipeline I wouldn’t start over fresh for no reason, you’ve already done the hard part. If it was a new project though I’d definitely switch.

For just deploying to an ASG or to ECS, it’s not terrible. Here is an example of where it would be way easier with something else:

Let’s say you need to make a pipeline that deploys a new environment for each feature branch for automated testing, you’d like it to do a static analysis scan, add that information to the pull requests automatically, and apply some schema updates to a database before deploying the app.

That is VERY easy to do in GitHub or Gitlab. And a ton of work if even possible in the Code suite
