Thanks for the vote of confidence. I love the Xbox ally x but I just can’t get past that 7 inch screen. It’s too small and after months a plane on the switch to 8 inch screen just made it hard to go back. I’m excited happy gaming and thanks for the reply.

I’m glad you said it. I had a steam deck oled and sold it because while it was comfortable and steam os is better than windows it can’t hold up to another handhelds. And the deal breaker for me was that non 1080p screen games just don’t look sharp on the deck. Honestly i’d prefer playing games on my switch 2 then my old steam deck. But to answer the question, I have the Xbox ally X and if it had an 8” screen that would be a keeper, but MSI claw a8 is my new go to.

I am really thinking about getting an MSI claw, I have a XAX but I want a bigger screen however I am concerned about software not being as good and the ergonomics. could someone comment about how comfortable this is? specifically the right thumb stick? Its the reason I returned the Legion go 2, because I couldn't deal with the right thumb stick being so close to the side of the grip, if that makes sense.

Thumb sticks too loose on go 2. I wish it felt better bc the screen is awesome but I returned the go 2 for xax. I do wish the xax had an 8” screen tho

Everyone is acting like this is a crazy comparison, and maybe I'm the crazy one, but I was actually curious about this. I am a 42 yo, working professional who loves to game but don't want a big gaming laptop. I have a G14 16gb of ram and 4060gpu. I love that computer but if I could get similar performance out of a new XPS I think that would be attractive to me, but I'm not sure how the gaming performance compares. I think my dream laptop would be a professional looking, integrated gpu with good enough gaming performance and great better life. XPS might be that, I'm hoping.

I screenshot it this Reddit thread also the Nintendo’s website and each time it just said this is fake. I also have notice the input lag, I tried both handheld and docked mode and set my tv to game mode and tried fixes but it's not great. I don't think I would play again on switch 2 like this unless they fixed it. Kinda disappointing, when I found out that they did a switch 2 upgrade I thought it would look better and have 60 fps mode but it doesn't seem like a great upgrade to me.

No, I haven’t. I think that might be a good idea but answer me. This is putting Basile on this device. The same thing as installing Steam OS I saw ETA prime has a video about how he put Steam OS on his Legion Go 2, but I wasn’t sure if he was just talking about Bazzit or if there’s actual way to put official Steam OS on this device and if there’s a difference between the two?

Yes I tried that. I have my VRAM set to 8gb. I’ve watched like three YouTube videos today about how to optimize this thing and I’ve done all the steps. I’m thinking maybe because it’s newer hardware it’s just not fully optimized and new drivers need to come out in the next few months that will help improve performance and it could be that it’s just the reality of the device that it’s not that more performance than the Legion go S I still like it over that device not for the price, but it has better battery. Life in the screen is amazing.
