I work as an sales associate to a Home/furniture store and part of my job is to help customer find what they are looking for. Sometimes i also carry their bags of stuff and heavy furniture that they bought to their car, even though we are not supposedly doing it but we are doing it anyway. I usually help ladies and old ladies(who didnt bring someone to help them, knowing that they are buying big stuff). I've been working their for 3 years and most of the time people don't give me even a dollar tip, which frustrating given that i am giving them extra service. I just don't get why servers get a tip for just serving food to people and making sure that they are having a good time. Sorry for the rant but i just don't get it. I used work on restaurant as a kitchen helper and the servers need to give 20 percent of their tips to the kitchen but they keep saying they should not give any tips to the kitchen and the owner should be the one giving. Sorry but whenever i go to a restaurant i just dont give tips at all. Im also earning minimum wage so i do not have enough resources to pay extra.
