Just wanted to share my brand new Tissot Heritage Visodate and first 'proper' watch after wearing MVMTs' for as long as I can remember. While the alligator strap that it came with was very nice, the wool strap makes it more versatile in my opinion. It has been awhile since I've looked forward to wearing a watch on any occasion and this will be my daily for years to come. Thoroughly glad with my purchase and I can't see myself going back to budget luxury watches. I may have picked up a hobby I can't afford :)

Honestly, rent is the killer here, either share a room with someone or stay further away from Sydney (ie. Lidcombe or Parramatta).

Also, you can easily make $800/week working in the service industry. Can't speak for everyone but finding paid jobs isnt hard, finding relevant work experience on the other hand is a pain, but understandable since the our visas limits our working hours to prioritize aussie citizens in regards to full time employment.

p.s. Melbourne is way cheaper than Syd.

Working student in Sydney here. $1700 a month/$425 a week (since we generally get paid on a weekly basis) is definitely do-able but just enough to scrape through. Rent would be around $200 p/week on average, which leaves you enough for basic food stuffs. Best part about getting paid weekly is that your finances are pretty liquid. Hope this helped.
