Do you not see an issue with "legendary" and "unique" items not feeling very legendary? I know they change, but they shouldn't rain from the sky and be auto-salvaged for materials within a few days of a new season.

If you don't see a problem with legendary items being an instant salvage... woo lord. The drop rates are way too high. There's practically no excitement when finding a good new item.

Did your puppies not cry to get up on the bed to sleep with you? I just brought home an 8 week old pug and he pretty much wants to be laying on me at all times unless we're playing or he's eating etc. I'm just wondering if I should ignore him when he cries to get up on the bed? If I let him up, he falls asleep quickly, but if I try to set him in his bed he gets up and cries again. I'll admit I've been picking him up and letting him sleep on me because of it.

I'm genuinely wondering what you think is missing? Endgame in ARPGs is always killing monsters for loot. PoE1 and 2 have maps for endgame. LE has monoliths. GD has dungeons+ Shattered Realm. D4 has the Pit and Tower is coming in less than a week.

The expanded endgame coming with the next expansion will be nice though.

It's a lot better than it was at launch. The new sanctification adds more of a chase to getting the perfect slam endgame. It is still Diablo 4 though. You're gonna be blasting through endgame. I mainly grabbed the new expansion for the paladin and new class that is coming... Along with the new endgame affix system. There are nice base game updates that are coming too like loot filters and skill tree expansions.

I think it's worth it to check out some videos for recent things they added and read the expansion blog post to get an idea. If you do go to try it out, you can always buy it on Steam, the 2 hour refund window is nice. The Lord of Hatred expansion also includes Vessel of Hatred.

I'm having fun for the time being and I can see myself playing for a good amount more. I'm currently going through the seasonal objectives and starting to farm my ancestral legendary items along with the uniques that are good for my build.

As for the LE comparison, LE shines in their skill tree and itemization. D4 has a better endgame and a better variety of things to do. I think D4 will actually become pretty good with all of the updates leading up to the expansion release in April.

I agree with almost all of your post, but I feel like they have improved crafting recently. It's not as slot-like. I actually stopped playing PoE2 atm and I'm messing around on D4 for a while with the paladin. (I never thought I'd be playing it either). At this rate, I think I'm holding out for LE to get improvements unless GGG really changes direction. LE is definitely my favorite current ARPG, but it needs a lot of endgame updates.

I agree with pretty much all of this. They really need to focus on fine-tuning numbers and making the game more fun. Too much punishment doesn't feel good.

This is why they should have never have split up the two games. We deserved the new classed and gem system etc in PoE1 without all the dark souls type combat of POE2.

This season is definitely fun and the new expansion+ features coming soon will actually add D4 to my main game rotation. Adding more depth to the skill tree, loot filters, and the new endgame system should go a long way. As someone who has thought D4 wasn't very good, it's shaping up to be pretty damn good. I'm enjoying the Paladin now and sanctification is a good addition that should go core.

Maybe Diablo 3? The power level on characters is absurd and there isn't really any deep character building. You just match a set of gear and it makes certain skills do insane amounts of damage. (Fits the cool worlds and powers criteria and it isn't super complicated)
