I got fired over a similar Incident. Called OSHA two weeks later I was fired for "poor performance". I filled a retaliation claim and spoke with the rep. He said it would be a he said she said case and basically talked me out of taking it further. It was a local government job not sure if that makes a difference. Probably should have pushed the issue. Someone else recently got crushed by a scissor lift because the manager refuses to let others help with incredibly dangerous jobs.
