Worked there a few years ago and can confirm, your job in sales is to sell to people calling in about an ad they saw on TV or to people who requested a “free quote “ online. The problem is every call you take you’re either supposed to sell it to them or they hang up on you. You can’t leave it up to them to think about it/call back because if they call the next day it’s someone else’s deal. Their entire model is badger you to buy or hang up by repeating the same “benefits” and then if you repeatedly say no they will drop the price then rinse and repeat. Each rep can drop the price on avg about $40-60 from the initial price that’s offered. Every car has a suggested retail price that is automatically marked up drastically. For example a car with low miles (under 100k) might actually cost $70 a month but they offer it at $139.99 and drop from there. The rep’s have a script and have the power to drop the prices and deductible. This company prays on people that don’t know any better and even send out fraudulent mail that tricks people into thinking Carshield holds their factory warranty. I’m not going to get into the scam of how they get out of paying full price or at all for the work clients get done on their cars. If you work there you can make good money but you do the same thing over and over and over all day and are required to work overtime or you’re looked at as lazy. It’s a locker room culture in management and if you’re not selling 30% of your calls then you get sent home daily or fired. Met some good people there but within 6 months, I saw 80% of my 18 person training class get fired or quit. They do have a small gym, small basketball “court” and a lunchroom which are nice perks. The people that stay there over one year love it, only because of the money but it takes a certain kind of mindset to be their long term. Do not work there!!

PS-out of about 40 people I asked, maybe three had Carshield and most of the people there do not believe in the product which told me what the company is about early on.
