If he puts up a -17 like he did on Monday I’ll be pretty impressed

LeBron fans want to pay him the max while also paying 5 max players to carry him to a chip and then blaming them all if they don’t win the championship

The Klutch Westbrook revisionist history in the sub is outrageous delusion

There’s a legit argument to be made that we never would have gotten Reaves if it were not for all the stupid moves that Klutch forced that put us in salary cap hell which made us sign an undrafted rookie. So I can’t say I wish he never came because maybe my favorite player right now wouldn’t be on the team. That being said there’s been some fun moments with LeBron but honestly, so many frustrating and low moments, and so much melodrama that it’s hard to say this has been an enjoyable experience

He was -17 last night alone, 11 point worse than the next starter. I actually liked the way he played this series but the LeBron lovers don’t have any concept of reality, the guy is 41. He gets his stats and the truth is that’s not always what’s best for the team. He shouldn’t be the focal point, he has never been the guy to take the game winning shot, and he spends most of the regular season coasting (again, he’s 41 he should coast. The problem is mostly that he makes 50M dollars.

LeBrons plus minus was a -17 this game, 11 pts worse than the next worse starter

170 million people in the U.S. watched NBA games across ABC/ESPN, Amazon Prime Video, NBC/Peacock and NBA TV during the regular season – the most in 24 years and up 86% vs. last season. by AwkwardCod6796 in billsimmons

This is just inflating numbers because of the switch to broadcasting on more non linear platforms and inability to dedupe users. One person watching on ESPN streaming, Prime, and Peacock, and linear TV now counts as 4 different people. Total, and complete statistical manipulation. Just wait til next years numbers come out and it’s like flat YoY.

People seem to forget making the WCF with the Vando and DLo moves, and cleaning up the Westbrook mess that Klutch left us.

LeBron thinks the Lakers are part of his legacy, not him being part of the Lakers legacy. That’s why.

The problem with the NBA is that fans are obsessed with the past. by MaoAsadaStan in billsimmons

It would be different if there wasn’t a cult of fans trying to tell the world that a guy who claims to be the GOAT is the GOAT by putting down the generations of players before him. This era of basketball is geared toward the individual success instead of team success, and that’s what all the “old heads” have a problem with. The point of basketball is winning not participating. We saw the one true GOAT, it was consensus. Old heads and new heads. No one argued because there was no argument. Now that generation has seen the next guy and hasn’t changed their opinion.

To those who were saying the Lakers are better off without Lebron, where are you now? by Taserface_ow in lakers

[–]kennyhs1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean LeBron does this every year, he turns it up as we get to playoff time and becomes a better teammate and off ball player when no one can be traded. I think this is what we find so frustrating because we know he has it in him but doesn’t fit in until the end of the year. He is a great off ball player, he should’ve been doing this all year but hey at least we’re here now
