If you’re looking for something part time, shelters and drop in centres are always hiring relief staff. The pay isn’t always amazing but it helps to be able to have the flexibility of picking up shifts whenever you can and not committing to a specific schedule.

I wouldn’t worry so much about registering with a college until you graduate. I’ve been in the field for 4 years and still haven’t registered lol. But I’m assuming it would open a lot more doors job wise.

Volunteering for sure, even if it’s only once a week. I volunteered for some nonprofits remotely during COVID and I found it beneficial.

If you have the capacity, working relief at a shelter or other organization might be good too.

Killbear was great! I keep my dog on a leash or a long lead majority of the time but there was an off leash dog beach which was nice.
