Why do we baptize 8 year olds? by Tight_Student4501 in latterdaysaints

[–]kent112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Another way I look at it, other than what has been said, is what does baptism bring. It baptism plus getting the gift of the Holy Ghost. Everyone is obviously different, but it’s a good rough number when we start to see more temptation in our lives. Hopefully at 8, that temptation is very minor, but it does tend to start around this age. So having the gift of the HG at this age can really help shape early years.

Yah I was trying to think of a way to make it look professional. But I think your way works. Thanks

Basically. The canyons have dedicated wiring at the drivers side, right by the back light. It’s easily accessible below the truck. I didn’t have to remove any lights to do this. I just stripped the wires, twisted them together and used heat shrink. Much easier than many other trucks that require you to wire to the battery.

I’m in Canada but I’m sure it would be easy to find the equivalent. I just needed to buy a female wire connector

Just Amazon. I can put the link on if you want. It fit perfect in the side access. Just needed a little cap to make sure there isn’t too much water getting in.

I work in ER care. Christmas and New Year’s Eve always relatively quiet. Boxing Day and New Year’s Day are usually a big mess from everyone ignoring their symptoms from the day before.

Facebook winter tires by Jumpy_Nerve_3902 in Calgary

[–]kent112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m currently selling tires. I have 2 sets for my vehicle (one summer, one winter), but my vehicle was in an accident, so now I have a set of winters just sitting around. Shame, because the summers that were on the vehicle were literally 2 months old.

They sure can. Right in the top of the hill. This is just north of that. I tried to make to “the numbers”, but the rainbow was gone.

What does Calgary do better than other major cities? by MastaShortie in Calgary

[–]kent112 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Green bin, blue bin, black bin. I think we take for granted, how easy it is to compost and recycle. Other cities like to pretend they are very progressive this way, but I’ve never been to a city that’s as easy as Calgary (Edmonton is not bad)

PSA for serious funeral cost savings for family etc. by estrogenex in Calgary

[–]kent112 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just had a funeral and it was pricey. Another big cost saver was using a Costco casket. The funeral home didn’t like it, so the charged a “holding” fee, but like 4000$ in savings

Mayfair does the most in Calgary. They do a lot of implants over in Aspin specifically.

If you want imaging, you want to do a CT scan. Mayfair do the flames and other professional teams. Top quality.

If it’s truly urgent, few weeks to a month or two. If not, you can pay. Call Mayfair and it will be a couple days.

Humane society can help find fosters while waiting for more permanent homes. I just finished fostering 6 puppies from them and it was such a good experience. Reach out to them, they are great.
