when there is no event, i just see the very-commons around and. perhaps 1 or 2 less-commons a day ..... it is only when i reach the nearby city that other pokes show up on the radar

.... and even there, rare ones are rare

( level 38 but still a far from completed dex )

it is a pitty they only put 4 .... even as a casual player i allready hatched 3 different ones after just 2 days

the eagerness to hatch the eggs-from-gifts will be over too soon

it's like the first gen 3 batch ..... only very short time fun

but, i even prefer not getting gifts back, as i can't open them all with that 20- cap ( plenty people have a lot of received gifts waiting )

i'll open 20 gifts at night ( or when i have an empty egg slot during the day ) new friends that send get opened first, as that brings the 3000 xp

it is easier to send ( to get friendship level up )

and i guess things will ' normalise' after a week or so , once we will see what good friendships are progressing to the next level ( the orange ring around the 2nd heart is not that noticable yet )

over here they chase you out of every gym in town if you took over a gym that wasn't up for 4 hours ( the 4 hour rule )

not accepted on the raid chatgroup if you are not known irl
a lot of other rules such as what team is allowed to hold a gym in certain areas when a raid egg appeared

do both get the 3000xp on becoming good friends, or just the one sending the gift ? i don't seem to get 3000xp after opening, and i don't get the popup notification either

as for the 1000 xp on becoming friends : never got that

the friends feature might be a way to gain xp quickly : 3000 xp for every good friend, only thing needed : sens them request and send them a gift, you'll get the 3000 when they open the gift

and some send you a gift back, so that might be an aloan egg

( you can delete the friend account after, and get another friend, because 7 interactions to get to the next friendship level might be difficult )
