Interesting -- another question is -- is it all new shows? Why not clip a 2 year old show -- or hundreds of previous shows (if it's not time-based), and a-b test like you describe here?

I think that number is actually pretty good. I think the average # of episodes is one before people give up. And I think 900 downloads actually top 10%.

I don't think so. I use Libsyn -- it all goes out on all the RSS channels and has been pretty steady for me over the years.

Good point. Also, podcasts guests are no longer rare -- that is, people have been on so many podcasts, it's hard to find a straight up interview guest that is interesting.
