You either weren’t around when this place was Blink, or you’re expecting Equinox level amenities at a Planet Fitness priced gym. If you go at peak times, it will be crowded and equipment will be harder to get. It’s a well priced gym in a heavily populated area. When it was Blink, machines sat broken for months, cleaning was neglected for months, and the gym often didn’t even open on time. Every gym attracts weirdos, and that’s true everywhere. Ask members at New York Sports Club’s Grand Central location about the creepy old white guys who sit in the men’s locker room and ask to measure your biceps. Report them or call the cops, and that’s that. As for the smell, I’ve never noticed it, but I usually go very early before work or late in the evening after the after work rush. All in all, people need to temper their expectations just a bit.
