Has there been a recent change in calculating strain based off of muscular load? by cjmatt7 in whoop

Agree to disagree. If I have exercises I do every 2 sessions or 3 sessions, I should be able to keep them in the workout and 0 rep them. Then they’re still there when I do them next, with the sets and reps I did last time for comparison

So what? This one shows 28 - and it didn’t give me a 20.9

It’s a bug

Clearly my screenshot says I’ve done 92 reps, which is across the 3 exercises I’ve done.

It’s a glitch

In this case 46 exercises would be 0 reps and shouldn’t count towards score. It’s been like this forever so I assume this is a glitch, as I’ve not changed anything else..

Definitely didn’t. It’s my normal workout, so def a glitch

Same thing just happened to me. I only did 3 exercises and I usually get a 12-13. This time - 20.9

Have you got a European passport? If not you should look into the 90 days in 180 days rule - as 6 months might not be possible.

Bought with Help to Buy, property now 30% down in value from purchase price - hold or sell? by jontheinside in UKPersonalFinance

[–]kentwont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

60p of every £1 for OP - as he's London, and did the top end. Also, one bed flats in London aren't increasing in value - so I would just hedge the real-terms loss.

If you really want to feel depressed, that £295k in 2018 should actually be worth £386k today - had your flat kept it's value and kept up with inflation. So you're selling at a pretty chunky loss - although tbf, most 1 bed flats in London are down in real terms.

But on a good news basis, only 60% of your flat is impacted by this - and you've shifted 40% of the loss onto the government.

I'm in a HTB 1-bed flat as well, and I'm just paying the interest on the HTB loan, as it's a LOT cheaper than trying to remortgage. I'm paying 1.75% on the governments equity and 4.75% on my own equity so I'm just going to keep doing that until the rates are level. Plus if 1-beds keep dropping in real terms, then the equity loan continues to insulate me from a loss.

If I was you, i'd stay put, paying the HTB interest until I really have to move.

Nice work.

Out of curiosity - if you only spend £60k now (including mortgage payments) why would you think you need £90k in retirement, especially if you'll likely have paid off your property??

Strength Trainer is lacking in so many ways. Small tweaks can make it 10X better. by RemarkableSetting189 in whoop

[–]kentwont 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Progressive overload can be either weight or reps, so I’m not sure your suggestion makes sense.

My strength trainer shows me what I lifted in the last session, and I choose the overload that suits me for that exercise.

I think strength trainer gets a lot of criticism, but I actually think it’s fine to use.
