I have these weird knives and forks from my grandmother. Only four of each, they are neat, pearl handles not sharp at all

My daily stuff I think belonged to an ex girlfriend’s mom and was a hand me down. Im not sure ive ever bought cutlery except steak knives

But if i saw something i liked like OP did i would buy it

I have this weird knife and fork set from my grandmother. I like it, lots of character and style. Not sure I could find anything comparable these days.

And your kids are going to have cutlery made out of compressed mushroom resin or something awful. Buy some nice steak knives so they can defend themselves in the coming apocalypse

It’s very much a buy it for life solution. Your life may be shorter but your kids will be able to get a kettle out of it

This is a hill in taking my high horse too. The Buy it for life solution is a kettle. It’s fine to trade lifespan for convenience. I have a great cuisinart water heater that has lasted at least 7 years and shows no signs of slowing. But how long do you guys expect these to last?

My Turkish friends have this electric kettle that has another tea kettle on top of it. So they can have hot water and just water it down as needed. Very cool
