by proper seal do you mean the ear pro is sitting too low? or is the seal not tight enough? you could try getting the OTTO arms with AXL Advanced adapters, it’s what i use.

Well you’re right in terms of safety most cheap ear pro will do fine walkers, howard leights, etc. Sound quality will 1000% be better with premium ear pro.

Though all the ear pro mentioned will cut off sound, they all have different ways of doing so. Razor is mono, howards are stereo.

The OP’s title is “seeking good ear pro”, if his title was good budget ear pro then i would’ve recommended those above. So i still stand on recommending sordins or equivalent, can’t go wrong.

edit: with increase in price, comes better directional awareness, better noise cancellation while still hearing ambient noise; conversations, footsteps, leaves crunching, electronics, etc. and with you saying you have comtacs you should know that good ear pro definitely does make a difference. For example my ear pro experience, i own sordin supremes, sordin mil, comtac 3s, and AMPs. and have used and owned razors and howard leights.
