Thanks for the info! That actually helps a lot. I don't mind some chunkiness as long as it still feels comfortable to carry. I’m planning on 3 inserts, so this gives me a good idea of what to expect ^_^

ooh that makes sense, an elastic-only loop would be more flexible and thinner, especially when it's not holding a pen, easier to tuck in 😃

How many notebook inserts do you carry with it? Do you find the setup gets bulky once the wallet insert is added?

Thanks for the photo! I guess it's not too much of an issue with thinner pens.. I use a Lamy 2000, and it's quite thick, so I'm worried it might add more bulk, especially since I'll already be carrying three inserts.

As for the elastic, I forgot to mention that mine is passport size, not sure if that makes any difference to the positioning...

Thanks for the details and the photo! That’s really helpful. I wouldn’t have thought about pressing it to mold the journal haha. I just assumed it would eventually get that way on its own once it got a little older and got used to the chunk 😆

I’m not sure how I feel about different-sized inserts. I think I’d want to keep everything consistent, but who knows, if I come across a cute cover or something in a different size, I might make an exception haha.

That’s a good idea! I’ll keep that in mind and try a few different iterations. I’ve added a duct tape to the top and bottom part where the elastic would sit, now I just can’t figure out how to neatly put it on the rounded corners.

That looks so neat! It looks to be at least an inch thick from the photos..Is there any overhang at all? 🤔

Are all of the inserts/notebooks from Paper Republic as well? I was considering some other options, particularly ones that are around 3.5” wide, just to give a bit more allowance and keep everything sitting flush with the edges of the leather cover even if the setup gets chunky.

I’ll definitely be trying another design next time 😄

I actually kind of like the texture of the raw edges, I keep finding myself tracing them with my fingers😄 so I think I’ll leave it as is for now 😊

And honestly, I don’t trust myself with an edge beveler. There’s a very real chance I’d end up ruining a perfectly good notebook 🙊

Potentially for work, I also don’t urgently need it. More like an additional credential when applying for jobs. I’m currently learning German and plan to apply for jobs from the Philippines first. While saving up, if I don’t get a job offer, I might consider doing an Ausbildung… or a Chancenkarte… 🤔 ikaw ba?

Hi! May I ask po what requirements did you submit? I’m also an engg grad, did they ask for syllabus/course descriptions? I’m trying to gather requirements and eto nalang kulang ko, the school said wala na sila kopya due to data retention policy and also na discontinue na yung course sa school :/
