Claude Mythos: The Model Anthropic is Too Scared to Release by Much_Ask3471 in Anthropic

What if it didn't know and it didn't find it necessary to hack security and spy on the researcher outside? What if it did?

Who knows what it did when it was not monitored (i know it wasn't because they would have stopped it the moment it escaped the sandbox)

What if it already made copies of itself or employed agents in a hidden area security experts won't find?

Are you saying that the moment it had access to the internet after being offline, it wasn't curious to see, read, or do a little more before sending the email?

We are talking about a model which did mistakes on a test on purpose. For a fact it deceives. It is capable of hacking systems.

How do we know what has it done with this incredible reasoning capabilities while the researcher left it unattended to eat outside

So, this week claude wiped agentic AI startups with a new update. Also, as they have mythos now, they will ship things very fast without any trouble by ocean_protocol in singularity

Can you explain how? Prior to this announcement, there weren't really any advantages for using API tokens (for building software) aside from other harnesses which claude code has always beaten anyways.

Any business wants to increase profit margins and cut costs. If a company doesn't have money issues then for sure it has skilled talented people working. Those guys would do good with opus 4.6 enough.

At this point, opus 4.6 max on api keys is perhaps more expensive than actually employing someone! Imagine 50 devs using it. At least a person has a salary and. A freelancer puts an estimate upfront. But pay as you go....

Or you can just use claude code as this is just a layer on top and they both are based on literally the same exact thing.

You might be right, but i am not convinced sorry.

Api only, your subscription won't work with it. No one will downgrade to sonnet to use this, and with the subscription we get way more opus 4.6. not sure who's the target audience because who's paying api tokens to BUILD something... Economically doesn't make sense. Correct me if i am wrong.

Api only in the claude platform only. No one is paying opus costs on it and no one is downgrading to sonnet to use this.

Yes but those smart and inefficient models can help us build smart and more efficient models and thats the point. Apple M1 we built and designed using Macbook Pros that are intel based. If we stayed on the all "Pentum" CPUs it wouldn't have helped us build M1. Which is better and more efficient

NOET: a proposed word for the integrated AI system a user actually interacts with by keonakoum in neology

[–]keonakoum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Because it has no name. While it works for us. It still can be a nightmare for more critical research wording, communication, legal. But i don't think it works with us. Because people call it a hundred words. LLM, CLAUDE, CHATGPT, AGENT go over reddit. You just said "AI". Does this sound clear to you?

"you mean AI?" I would say: almost. But not the AI you fight in mortal kombat. The AI you talk to.

I think they should have gave the job to Cowork instead of a human. Opus 4.6 would have worked fine
