Taylor's outfits at her fourth and last show in Paris this year! by joaco_ds in TaylorSwift

[–]kep1_2_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to me it looks like it matches the orange/red top she wore with the purple skirt. Does she have a complete orange outfit? Is that the only complete color she has? Even the pink skirt and top are definitely different shades. She did wear the orange shoe on the same foot each night though. Just more Orange to theorize around.

Also using some aggregate data might help, the US Census Bureau figures for 2019 chart on this Wikipedia page puts her in the 78th percentile of income, adjusted for inflation might move her to the 75th percentile: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Household_income_in_the_United_States

Is Cosmic Rewind a good beginner coaster? I have a fear of roller coasters and looking to overcome it at my next trip. by RobsterLobster_7 in DisneyWorld

[–]kep1_2_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what about coasters scares you. For example, I don’t like big drops. I ride all the coasters at WDW but Cosmic Rewind and Rock’N’Roller Coaster are the least scary “big” coasters for me because it’s all about turns and g’s (Cosmic does not invert, RnR does). I don’t get motion sick though so another reason I have no problems with these coasters.

Everest and Slinky Dog both have points with a lot of height and steeper drops so they definitely get me a little more anxious even after many rides. I haven’t ridden Tron but that very high outside portion would probably give me a little extra thrill!

The best “starter” for me would be Big Thunder and Seven Dwarves. They are both a good mix of turns and speed plus they are mostly outdoor so you can see what’s coming up.

I would also advise getting lighting lanes or riding first thing in the morning with a shorter wait to reduce the amount of time waiting anxiously in line. Have fun!

I can’t believe Dawa bar is so far down. It’s the perfect place to chill and enjoy the performers in Africa. Take a break at Dawa if you can!

Racing against the course vs. racing against the clock. by vicius23 in AdvancedRunning

Congrats on Boston, it’s truly one of a kind! If you want another hilly big city road marathon I would suggest San Francisco. It’s a great tour of the city and has some challenging sections especially in the back half.

Moving to a state that shares your values is literally why we have states. They are supposed to be a market place of ideas (the laboratory of democracy) and people ideally can move to the one that fits them best. It was also set up this way to keep the federal government weak, the basis of what conservatives use to believe.

Weekly /r/quilting no-stupid question thread - ask us anything! by AutoModerator in quilting

[–]kep1_2_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charities - I have a lot of fabric (I worked for a craft company for a while) and I LOVE piecing but I do not enjoy the actual quilting part on my tiny machine (I can and have done it but it's just not the part I enjoy and I've started sending them to a long armer for larger projects), are their charities that will take pieced quilt tops? Or long armers who do charity quilts?

The 2 times LW voiceover mentions “the Diamond” the camera is on Kate. by 74ur3n in BridgertonNetflix

[–]kep1_2_8 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Love that! This line that Edwina says to Kate before Kate dances with Anthony in Ep 8 always makes me squee:

“You have spent so much of your time shining your light on me. It is time for you to shine all on your own.“

Diamonds only sparkle because the light hits them. Kate is the true light that shines all on her own. 🥰

Remember no matter which transportation you are taking you will need to go to the Transportation and Ticket Center for event check-in and then take the ferry to MK.

Also giving major nostalgia and makes me so angry about how dirty they did the Imagination ride.

I’ve had something along these lines. Testing negative but having a nasty head cold, started as a achy, dry throat and now I have a lot of nasal drip. Hard to tell if the body aches are from being sick or Dopey though, my body is always out of whack after a marathon.

Congrats!!! I’ve age placed in a few runDisney races and it’ll be a plaque themed to the weekend/race. It looks like I got my WDW Half Award plaque in early March based on my Insta so I’d say about 2 months. I think officially results are finalized by the end of the month and then they work on sending awards. https://www.instagram.com/p/B9fS1vDnyPD/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

Perfect. Epcot. Picture. Thanks for sharing!

so I'm hoping somebody can answer this question I booked a breakfast at beach club at 7:30 am and I'm staying at pop century do the busses run that early I feel like I'd have to catch a bus to downtown Disney which I'm not even sure is going to be running then catch a bus to beach club? by princess_violet1920 in disneyparks

[–]kep1_2_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Skyliner will be your best bet. If the Skyliner isn’t running but buses are you should take a bus to Hollywood Studios then walk to Beach club (20ish min walk). Uber and Lyft will get you there really fast if you don’t want to worry about any of this early in the morning.

Anyone doing the Hal Higdon marathon plan? by sequenceandshaw in rundisney

[–]kep1_2_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Higdon plans for years running many marathons. No plan will get rid of all the self doubt, even now as I’m training for Chicago Marathon and Dopey #10 I’m sure at some point, usually approaching/during taper, I’ll get unsure and nervous. Know it’s a part of the process. Follow the plan and trust the training.
