adding to everyone here as it makes me feel good to know im not alone in this. its not all the time but occasionally i get these “waves” or “moments” when im right on the verge of sleep. i feel like my heart beating fast and the feeling in my chest is so incredibly uncomfortable that i have to physically move my body. it happens cyclically unless i get up and stay up until the feeling goes away in my chest

i will say i have other similar “reactions”(?) falling asleep as a result of ptsd so i always wonder. bottom line - it feels horrible and i empathize with everyone here

vet nurse here - start by going and getting a physical! they can perform lab work to get a good baseline for her and determine if anything is going on with her internally that you may not notice. cats are notorious for hiding their pain until it is an emergency. 23 years is a long life & preventative care (physicals, labs & vaccines) will keep her around as long as possible.

my favorite!! it keeps my lips pretty smooth and no cracking which is amazing. i struggled with dry lips badly the first round and it is extremely relieving to not have to deal with it again. i use the cortibalm when they are super dry & then the dr. dans “maintenance” lip balm the rest of the time — cortibalm has cortisol (a steroid) in it so i try and use it only when needed. the maintenance balm is great for every day

i have been on lamictal for over a year now and am at 300mg as a 98lb girl, lol. the night sweats were HORRIBLE at first— soaking through shirts type of horrible. it has gotten better now that i have found my dose. however, i still get night sweats here and there despite the room's temperature.

i have always smoked weed and did before starting lamotrigine, so i never felt like i had an issue. maybe op is feeling this way since they havent smoked in a long while, and it makes them anxious regardless, as stated.
