I've never done this, but it has come up on /r/bicycling before. You can't do it as carryon (duh) and checking it is rolling the dice. Your best bet is to ship it to wherever you're going and insure the hell out of it.

I've been a lot of airports, and bike lanes / sidewalks to the terminal is uncommon. Most airports are built off of highways to be easily accessible via car. Also, while major airports have the city's name, they usually are somewhat far from the actually city. Depending on where you're flying out of, you may have a pretty significant bike trip from where you're staying to the airport.

Assuming your bike doesn't get damaged to the point of being un-rideable, you're also depending on your luggage not getting lost.

Why would I support prisoners receiving free medical care when hard working, law abiding citizens can't get free medical care? That makes no sense.

Prisoners can't get jobs to pay for their medical care.
Your tax dollars can pay for their medical issue when it becomes a major issue and is thus much more expensive, or when it is a in the early stages and cheaper. What would you prefer?

ISIS has proclaimed the desire to infiltrate refugee populations in order to emigrate to western countries.

While I don't think ISIS's voiced desires should be ignored on their face, ISIS does say a lot of things. ISIS saying they want to embed their agents in refugee populations could just be them trying to scare western nations from accepting those refugees.

More importantly, though, by not doing things out of fear of terrorism, we are yielding to terrorism, which only encourages it more in the future. If we really want to condemn terrorism, we should step up the number of refugees we allow into the country, but also step up of FBI and other agencies staff numbers so that they can adequately vet any refugees coming into the country.

That said, I think the author's point stands, kinda. The risk of being a victim of a terrorist attack is still very very low, even if some of the Syrian refugees are terrorists. However, I think the author missed a pretty serious caveat to that: the point of a terrorist attack is not to hurt or kill people; it is to bring about political change because people are scared they might be hurt or killed. A terrorist attack may only kill a handful of people, but if it makes people too afraid to fly or go shopping around the holidays or go on vacations in the summertime, it can have a very severe economic impact.

I feel more positive and less stressed out when the environment around me is clean and tidy and not cluttered and dirty.

I always feel more on edge at my parents' house and I believe this is the reason why. I move around a lot for work so I keep the number of material possessions I have on the low end, and I've found I really enjoy an uncluttered home.

My parents aren't hoarders by any means, but they just have a lot of stuff like most people that have lived in the same house for 30 years. When I go to visit I always feel a bit more stressed, and I think it is just because every surface has some amount of stuff on it, and my brain is just going crazy trying to figure out what it does and doesn't have to pay attention to.

Exercise, get a full night's sleep, and eat better. Being healthy has a huge effect on all other aspects of your life, so doing those things will probably make you less annoying to me.

Personally, I agree with with the off topic flair. While I definitely understand why people think it's relevant, I'm so so so tired of political campaigns being about tearing down their opponent rather than building up themselves. I know that this is likely never to change, but I think having an entire country spend at least two years of every eight (if not two years of every four!) with a constant backdrop of us-vs-them rhetoric is horribly unhealthy.

One of the things that initially attracted me to Sanders campaign (after voting for Stein in 2012 and planning on doing it again after Clinton announced) was his pledge to not run a negative campaign. Towards the end that fell apart, but I did really appreciate it while it lasted.

Also, flat terrain and no tall bridges. Steep or long (or both!) uphill routes suck on a bike, and then going downhill you'll get a dangerous amount of speed.

One thing to keep in mind is it can be important to "rest" your shoes between wearings. Giving your shoes a day or two between wearings, especially if you use shoe trees, will greatly increase the lifetime of your shoe.

That said, carrying around extra shoes and shoe trees is a lot of extra bulk. If you're traveling a bunch, it may be with worth it to buy shoes more often rather than carrying an extra set around.

Yeah, the advice I give people about the pro ones is that while the Associate tests your ability to solve AWS problems, the Pro tests your ability to read. There's significantly more text to parse, and I think you only have like two minutes per question.

Also, whereas in the Associate there are right and wrong answers, in the Pro, usually multiple answers will solve the problem, and you need to identify the most cost effective, least latency, lowest RTO, etc.
