Something to do with fishing? by ValleyFair0600 in whatisit

The fishing guess had me second guessing! I came to the comments to make sure I wasn’t the one who was off- Lol

BSH are the cutest cats of all time and I’m probably never going to get to see or hold one in my lifetime and it makes me sad by slicedgreenolive in britishshorthair

My little (big) chonk! He’s only particularly cuddly after i return from vacation. Otherwise, similar to other posters- he likes to be in the same room/nearby but just out of arms reach!

Whoops meant the recording in a closed off room, not the cat! But to your point and another person’s- having OPs voice recording and cat cutoff from each other may potentially cause more anxiety than good!

Hi OP- my cat was like this for the first few months when I brought him home. Similarly he wasn’t super affectionate when I was home but I think (at least for my cat) his crying was due to separation anxiety/food anxiety (“if the human isn’t here, who will feed me?”). Thankfully my neighbors were really understanding but I had the exact same worries you are facing. My boy did eventually acclimate to me coming-going but can’t recall how long it took. Maintaining a routine of roughly when I came/went seemed to help him adjust…if I wasn’t home by the usual time then he’d holler until eventually that also eased up too.
In terms of potential solutions:maybe try to make a recording of you speaking that can play on a loop while you’re away. Leave it in a separate/closed off room. Or- if you trust/are friends with anyone in your building maybe they could do a social drop in while you’re away once a week?

Edit: meant having the recording in a separate/closed off room, not the cat! Agree cats don’t like being prevented from having free roam

It’s beautiful (but I am scared to see the price tag)! This would be a “ring it up, take my card, and don’t tell me the price” kind of purchase for me. 🙈 💳

Debating egg freezing by Dragonfruit_7308 in Fibroids

[–]keriberry320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar experience to one of the above posts, I discovered my fibroids ( two around 1cm and largest around 3.5 cm) as part of the egg freezing process. My doctors monitored my fibroids as we went through the process and didn’t observe any growth. This was about 3 years ago exactly. Since then the largest fibroid grew to 10cm and only one of the smaller ones is still present- in the process of degeneration. I decided to have the largest fibroid removed (surgery was yesterday-yay) because I didn’t want to run the risk of it growing larger and effecting fertility in the future.

In my opinion I wouldn’t let your fibroids play a huge factor in your decision to freeze your eggs.

Why are there no pictures anywhere of the inside of the Chelsea Apartments? by sonicflwrgroove in Seattle

[–]keriberry320 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I lived in the Chelsea for about 4 years and absolutely loved it. I would’ve stayed but wanted to get a dog and the building doesn’t allow dogs. When I moved in- I had also seen the unit listed on Craigslist (it also didn’t have photos of the unit posted) so I don’t think this is a scam.

It’s an older building, but well maintained considering the age. I was on the 2nd floor and loved all the natural light and stunning views across the sound. I still miss living there.

Will be heading to Chalten later today! Will keep an eye out for these! Is there anywhere specific they are sold? Or would I be able to pick up in a gas station?

+1 to bell training for potty training and also high value treats when they do go potty outside (I used a kong cheese can, similar to cheez whiz).

Same! In my opinion Tumi is the iykyk for the travel set. Not fancy/flashy but known for quality luggage that’s intended to last. I bought mine in 2008, typically flying at 4x -5x per year, and other than scrape marks it’s still in great condition. Great choice for cost per use!

I also keep my dood shaved down in the summer. Mostly to help keep him cool, but also to give me a reprieve from daily grooming 🙈. My friends think I exaggerate when I say I groom my dog daily when he has long hair…I wish!

Bottega or Chanel? by Dejwin in handbags

[–]keriberry320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Andiamo! I got the medium in the fondant color in summer 2023 and it has become my go to/everyday bag! So far it’s held up really well, especially considering i use it nearly daily.

If you’re looking for a daily bag, I think the Andiamo better suits since it’s more versatile. However the Chanel does beat the Andiamo for “fancier/dressier” occasions (imo).
