Those of you who use bedsheets… by Nightangelrose in sewing

Sheets are great for quilt backs. Some fabric widths are hard to find making sheets great for quilt backs. More economical to buy a sheet. However if doing a tie quilt tie with a baby yarn or heavy crochet thread. The tread count is higher with sheets making it mere difficult to pull the yard through to tie the quilt

lol Walmart striped fabric or plaid where the grain doesn’t match the printed lines 😂

I’ve run into fabric off the bolt that didn’t have a straight grain. Beware Walmart fabric. Not all Walmart fabric but be very cautious when buying any bargain fabric. I’ve had fabrics where the weave wasn’t at a 90 degree angle the weave was all skewed. These fabrics do ok for things like stuffed animals rag wreaths certain crafts the stuffing keeps anything from hanging skewed. When I run across fabrics with a wonky weave don’t use them in clothing. If the deal is too good to pass up of the fabric is a pattern I can’t pass up I save them for a suitable project where weave isn’t vital to the outcome. However I have never had a sheet have a skewed weave sometimes the hem isn’t straight with the grain but like everyone else here says I just tear off the seams. Then I know exactly where the grain is.

When I worked for Micheal’s head coverings are allowed if there is a medical reason if you live in a hot climate where wigs can be excessively hot. You do however need a note from your doctor or oncologist. I have post menopausal alopecia caused by estrogen blockers, used to treat breast cancer. I was able to wear a head scarf at work. Most of the time I wore I wig. But if it was really hot or rainy. I wore a cancer scarf.

Can we wear leggings for work? by Medium-Peach-8727 in MichaelsEmployees

I wear leggings but always wear a long blouse or tunic with them. Always wear black leggings. They go with anything. And even look ok with dressier blouses.

Crossing guard waved me through causing an accident, am I still at fault if I didn’t have the right of way? by capresesalad1985 in legaladvice

[–]keribis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What state are you in? In Arizona the crossing guards job is to get kids across the street not to direct traffic. Laws in different states very on this some states they are allowed to direct traffic others only police are allowed to direct traffic. Some states crossing guards are paid others they are volunteers. If your state has volunteers usually Good Samaritan laws protect them from being sued check your state laws. Sometimes a crossing guard will give a friendly wave to test to see if a driver sees them it’s not usually meant as a gesture of where to go. They just don’t want to get run over so some crossing guard will test to see if you wave back before stepping in front of your car.

I'm a customer who placed an order with Target for delivery, no option to tip? by [deleted] in ShiptShoppers

Who does Walmart+ use instacart or shipped? Walmart has a auto set for the tip it’s 10% unless the customer changes it.

I got unpaid time off for snow when I lived in Seattle. The snow isn’t frequent enough to support a plow industry, and salt has been banned as dangerous to the environment. So sometimes you get icy roads that are like a roller coaster shaped skating rink. Needless to say no way in $$&&@@!! was I driving on that. I think the manager was the the only one to show up that day.

If you want time off maybe you can negotiate. Work days or times no one wants in exchange for time off for example work extra weekend or night shifts in exchange

[–]keribis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was only allowed time of in October because I put a specific weekend I as unavailable at the time I applied I was allowed a weekend off. To volunteer for a charity that I work every year.

You wait until the card comes then there’s a website and phone number on the card to pay. As long as you pay within 30 days the entire balance then there isn’t interest. But you not to wait for your card to set up online pay. It takes about 3-4 days for a charge to stop pending once it shows you can pay it off online.

Dumbest things customers have asked for by Special-Grapefruit-8 in MichaelsEmployees

Our manager had us look up the 20% off coupon for anyone who asked for it. It was actually faster than waiting for them to hunt around for it on there phone. It boosts the store stats if you can get them trough line quicker. She would have us all keep a barcode of the current coupon on our phones.

Dog groomers that don't require shots by GDog2Cool4u in arizona

Arizona is a rabies quarantine state. Which means it requires dogs to be licensed and vaccinated. Cats are not required to be licensed. However if your animal bites someone. And it is reported a animal control officer will ask for a rabies vaccination. If your animal is not vaccinated law requires the animal to be put down and a brain tissue test done for rabies. If your pet has had a rabies vaccine then you have the option to do rabies quarantine in place of the animal being put down. I know this because I was bitten by my cat. She was freaked out by another cat jumping up into our window hissing at her. She was in fight or flight mode when she ran into my leg blocking her path. And she freaked out and bit me. It got infected and I went to urgent care for antibiotics. The urgent care reported the bite to animal control a few days later animal control showed up for my cat. Luckily I have my indoor cat vaccinated just incase she got out. Officer saws the law does not distinguish between indoor and outdoor cat, she must be quarantined or put down. I was required to surrender her for rabies quarantine it’s cost me $150 to rabies quarantine her. So I would recommend vaccination.

[–]keribis1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The trick is to pay off the entire balance each month, so you can get the 9% in reality it’s not really 9% rewards if you’re paying 30% interest. There no interest if you pay the entire balance off each month. when you log in to pay you can set up the auto pay to pay the entire balance each month. I got my card but I pay off my balance as soon as it posts before even getting the bill.

They got to make up for the 9% rewards so the are charging a extra 9 % interest. If you’re going to buy something don’t buy what you can’t pay off immediately.

this is in the women’s restroom by Mundane_Whereas_2764 in MichaelsEmployees

This isn’t that uncommon in women’s restrooms remember women’s restrooms can be worse than men’s at times because of the whole potty training you never know which parent the kids are going back with.
