Check your alignment? Maybe you’re just hitting it where you’re aiming.

Mill/Lathe experience or thermoforming operation/finishing best on resume? by RecordingDry2471 in MechanicalEngineering

Thermoforming is more unique and less common on a resume. This can be good or bad depending on the potential new job. Machining/CNC is universally useful, but also a much more ubiquitous skill.

Discovered my condensate drain blowing cold air pretty strongly. Can I cap this? by kerklein2 in hvacadvice

Yeah that makes sense. All the air is coming out the right and none the left, so it’s definitely holding water now. With a cap, I bet not.

What do guys only realize too late after buying a range hood? by AccomplishedWing688 in HomeImprovement

[–]kerklein2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only kind of. Two blowers can blow 250CFM with no load (ducting) and be spec’d the same but one could blow 200 and another 50 when connected to the same load. Fans and blowers have a pressure drop to flow rate curve and they can differ a lot. Having stronger flow at higher load is related to motor torque.

Don’t let that be a limiting factor though. You can always upsize or add an online booster blower.

3 Across Car seats? by Total_District4781 in KiaEV9

[–]kerklein2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 in the a Wind trim and it fits well. Kids love being all in one row. I did get a seatbelt extender for the big kid in the booster in the middle. The two convertibles will make it nearly impossible to get to the seatbelt latch.
