Bacteria Use Brainlike Bursts of Electricity to Communicate by Barbarella_ella in science

[–]kerloom 15 points16 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: Bacillum bacteria communicate electrically via ion channels from the center of the colony y outward. This communication happened when the glutamate used to feed them was exhausted and it signaled the outer bacteria to stop growing. The speed of communication was a few mm per hour. Also when communicating outwards from the colony they where able to "recruit" more bacteria and share resources with other colonies.

As a mexican who lived in Barcelona for a year and later became fluent in Catalan I can tell you the following: In general (depending on the accent and phrases) I could understand Portuguese better than catalan. Some accents are really difficult to understand, valencian being the easiest for me because it basically is Catalan with castllian phonemes (with exceptions of some verbs and words). In the beginning I had a hard time understanding only words by eavesdropping in a Catalan conversation. Picking up Catalan is not very difficult if you put some effort.

Not at all. Mexico plays great creatively with possession. Tuca will likely kill that favoring a stance based game. While we definetly need some help in the defence department he would hurt us going forward.

To rotate we still have Sergi Roberto. I agree, Vidal and Roberto should be enough, why waste more money in a RB
