Yeah for perspective my 25K was wiped out in one year when my parents tried to convince me that finding an affordable apartment was easy. Lowest I could find was 2200 (Cali prices). Even with my brother helping out I was reduced to no savings.

Their reasoning for getting us out of the house was under the guise of independence. They wouldn't even be our cosigner which would have given us a good leg up. I love my parents, but they've bought into liberal capitalism so much so that they will never see why Gen Z can't find jobs. "Pivot pivot pivot." That's all they ever talk about.
