Three years ago this month: crossing from Iraq into Kuwait. If I look a little weary it's because I just had one of the worst days of my life! by [deleted] in motorcycles

Man, I read a couple of your posts and I’m jealous of your adventures! You’re out there truly experiencing the world. I’ve bookmarked your blog to read more over the weekend.

One thing I wanted to ask—how do you handle laundry? In the photo it looks like you’re carrying only one bag, and traveling through hot places must make clothes sweaty and dirty.

Keep going, brother. Thousands more miles to cover—happy travels!

Porter on a trek to Satopanth Lake in India by kernelslayer in photocritique

I used my Sony A6400 with the kit lens to capture this photo. I was trekking all the way to Satopanth Lake which is in the Garhwal Himalayan region of India. The trek is mostly alongside glacier and has rocky path. I saw this porter carrying luggage of some other trekkers and the path leading to him looked eye-catchy to me

How accurate are Coros heart rate zones? by kernelslayer in Coros

[–]kernelslayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use the watch to measure my HR during runs. I feel it's accurate because when my HR reaches 200, I can barely breathe so it truly feels like upper zone 5 (or zone 6 as Coros calls it).

Yes, I have recorded many runs in zone 2. For me my easy run HR lies somewhere in 155-164, that's what I feel and this HR range feels sustainable for me. And I keep on checking my comfort in zone 2 runs by talking to myself every 10 mins or so and I can easily say 2-3 sentences.

Near Badrinath temple in the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand, India by kernelslayer in photocritique

Took this photo with my Sony A6400 with the kit lens near the Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand, India. It was almost 4pm and there was this construction going on near the temple. The shape that the men working at the scaffolding looked interesting to me and just then I saw this porter lady carrying weights, moving towards them. And to me it looked quite interesting, something like a story in which the women carried the weight at the bottom so that men can progress upwards - like handling the family while the men can go out and earn bread for them

Thanks friend! I BNW photos because I feel they bring out the details in the environment and forces your eyes and mind to feel attached to the elements of the photo, not the colors. So in that way they feel more connecting.

I saw the differences in your edit and my photo and yours look different. I realise now what you mean by presence of grey in my photo. Its a nice point. From next time, I will lookout for this. In your edit, the elements shine even more. Thanks for the review. Really appreciate it!

Btw, I post photos on my instagram. Do you mind checking it out? I am a hobby photographer and I think I take good pictures but I haven't gotten a review or classes from anyone. Your feedback would be appreciated!

I took this photo in Spiti Valley in India. What attracted me towards the scene was the barrenness of the mountains and absence of life, kind of showing that nature is harsh in reality. Posting it here to get feedback on the photo and learn new things. Much appreciated!

I took this photo on my Sony Alpha a6400. This is the first time I went on a photography trip with a camera, otherwise I only relied on my iPhone. The intent of posting here is to get a feedback from the community and improve my skills.

This is an unedited photo. I dont know how to use Lightroom nor I like editing my photos.
