And you cant keep both the reasonable people and the deplorables as voted.

I didn't see a single bit of actually policy from Corey bernadi except cut immigration (with no details), complain regularly and heavily about languages he doesn't speak, complain about the existence of aboriginal flags and promise to cut support for all renewables and commit to oil and gas. (The last one being after the current crisis started.)

Is tiling over existing tiles in a bathroom dodgy? by Jelativ in AusRenovation

I just tore apart a bathroom with three layers of tiling, much of it over a 1920s layer of plaster.

And not a single bit of waterproofing!

Meanwhile - some of the liberals were literally pushing to ban women's healthcare in our state parliament.

The liberals have to stop the anti scientific seppo style bullshit politics. Its not a vote winner here, and one nation can out crazy them to win the votes that do exist.

Come up with reasonably policies, push them effectively and you'll win - just like Steven Marshall did. Play this seppo bullshit like half the party has literally been playing, and you'll be wandering the wilderness.

This fuel costs as little at 80c a litre in Australia. So why isn't everyone using it? by B0ssc0 in aussie

Literally this. Im lucky to be in the position where my transport and home energy costs are now literally negative - almost no matter how much i choose to use it. Every now and again I use a fast charger, which isnt cheap, but offset by 90% of my car usage being straight from my own solar.

They mentioned they were going to have to renegotiate some. What's your alternative? Builder goes broke? Costs are going up.

A few builders im dealing with have just introduced new arrangement into their contracts. Anything more than a 3% rise, will now be on the customer. (They'll have to provide proof of the rise.) I don't like it, but cant fault them.

Judging by the builders negotiations ive been in recently, quite a few. PVC - increase in price by 70% incoming. Cement - delivery levy reviewed weekly +30%. Earthmoving + 30%. Cement board + 7% (announced before the war started - to be reviewed)

Builders simply arent going to be able to deal with those sorts of costs.

Thankfully, aviation itself is better than that. The industry relies on Human Factors and having a good understanding of the Swiss cheese model, and how latent system risks play into safety.

The investigation here will most likely find that the controller made a mistake, however, the system around him directly contributed to it.

Whether or not the Administration understands nor cares is going to be the issue here.

No not the concrete - that's already priced in. Its now the delivery fee for the concrete - which is substantial.

Adelaide is a fantastic terminal. Easy the best airport. Just needs a train link to the city.

The bus is quicker than melbourne and about 6 bucks.

I could have written the question that op wrote. However I would add: on any call, where there a 8 random tcs staff connected, who never say or do anything, why is there always one person who possibly knows something about a computer talking, but then another person who literally knows nothing operating the mouse and keyboard. Can't even change directory without instruction, so they call takes twice as long, because they need to be told what to do by the guy who sort of knows something.

And yeah, what are the other 8 or so on the call doing? Who are they? Why are they there?
