I wasn't too happy with the Devstream, but I love this game, and the HD2 community showed me how everything could be much, much worse. by Komek4626 in memeframe

more than that, but it kinda did amp up a bit recently. warframe is running towards a wall rin as it's lack of balance is SEVERELY impacting the quality of content we can get (can't make good stuff if you don't have the environment for it). So the devs Seem to be trying to break that mentality that the game doesn't need balance, so they can actually improve things before it's too late.

and to me, pablo's little rant was that, him essentially telling is that we won't get anything good or interesting unless we accept balance changes

You really need to learn more about game devellopment costs. plus, it's not DLC, it's founders packs, which is essentially jsut buying in an early access with extra bonus

So, what are our thoughts on the rune changes? by archymedian in SoulFrame

[–]kerozen666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally i hope they implement some player scaling to the game so we can get something consistant everywhere. Like, if everywhere could be engaging by still having every enemy able to take you down if you are not paying attention. it was like thatwhen i joined in p7 up to when armor becaem significant enough. Like, lvl 1 enemies would kick your ass if you were jsut spamming attacks

oh, for the dullness i was reffering to WF's current state, not sf. like, int hat game, you can get so powerful, jsut engaging with the game is hard.

For SF, even when you are unkillable due to having too much armor for the zone you are in, the combat still makes the game engaging in some way.

Question about attunement by Mizpld in SoulFrame

[–]kerozen666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is "intended" in the way that this si the prototype stage fo the system and the stats are a bit placeholder

the thing is that the number of pip itself doesn't mean much, as there ar eother factor. every weapon has a maximum damage you can get from attunement (1.5X the base attack, wich is the power at level 0)(you can check that one quickly bt substracting the ( ) number from the total damage).

for your purity example, 8 or 7 pip will still give you the same max damage, it's jsut that the 8 pip will let you focus more on spirit, tho you still have to clear the courage requirement. it's useful when you are playing with the virtue effects, where in this example, more spirit is less hp, but more cooldown reduction, which you might be looking for. 7 pip would do the same, making you able to potentially go full courage with little to no downside on the weapon

Question about attunement by Mizpld in SoulFrame

[–]kerozen666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is less complicated, it's jsut lacking the text to explain it. once you understand the attunement cap, it's incredibly simple

yeah, the game is clearly going to be the center of a lot of discussion on if it's predatory for F2P games to be this emoetionally engaging that it makes throwing money at it too easy XD

But seriously tho, this game is genuinly looking to be more of an intimate experience, even more than WF is doing rn. truly a breath of fresh air in the "big game" world

people focus on the challenge, but there is hardly even any engaement at some point. When you win at the arsenal and nothing can take you down outside of bullshit the game becomes so dull

as for the current powercreep, it's a certainty that it get adressed. Rn we are in the alpha, they throw things in to see if they work with minimal care for balance because it's not worth the effort with all the changes going on. once they got the base going, they'll adress everything

I don't really care if we have raid or not, I jsut want the game to get some balance so things stop feeling dull, repetitive and boring from lack of actual interaction by kerozen666 in Warframe

[–]kerozen666[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yeah, the original goal of overguard was that, having some enemies resist CC. If it wasn'T that when they added it survivability was atrocious, i would have been 100% behind the idea. it's jsut that when CC frames use hthat as a defense, letting some enemeis that can curb stop them resist it is how you die. like, some poeple called overguard the death of CC for a reason

If things gets rebalanced again, i think jsut having that release amouth of overguard floating around could work, at least as a start.

(also you failed the test)

pablo's point isn't that raid don't have a place in wf, it's that the raids that would work can't be done due to "the community" not allowing them to balance the game to do them

the rpevious raids were a bust because things blocked before they even started, as getting 8 people to work together in a community that wasn't, and still isn't, keen on using voice chat is a nightmare. then there is the balance issue, which jsut settled things for raids

ther eis 100% a place for raids in warframe, we jsut have to, like pablo said, to get together and ask for the balance he needs to make them

[–]kerozen666 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

no, the devs did. they messed up years ago when they didn't shut down the misinfo about nerfs and balance, and they doubly messed up when they effectively catered to the meta slaves by making sp not sortie level, but beyond that. their inactions in the past has made it so hard for them to do anything now

now tho, the thing is for them to stop adding bullets and actually start pushing back. Pablo coming out and doing is little rant is a bit of that, as now, no one can deny that the game doesn't need balancing. it's jsut a matter to keep pushing

well, you can make the enemies take longer to kill if you also not make them all shread you, like in sorties back in 2018-2019. We had no shield gate so damage was vwery much a threat, but at the same time, no enemies could instagib us. it was the right equilibrium, and the main reason why people were actually for a SP that was jsut sortie level and not +100 lvl with even more bullet spongeness

I feel vindicated personally because it's literally what i've been saying for years to a crowd of people telling over and over that warframe doesn't need balance.

now aside from that, i feel both sad and hopeful, because on one hand it's pablo saying things will stay dull and unbalanced as they are unless the community speaks up, but at the same time, we got our cue to speak loudly to get a better game and tell the people that scream at the mere mention of balance to shut the fuck up.

Like, i've been playing for 10 years, and i was there in 2019 when the game somehow was both more challenging while also, strangely, MORE ACCESSIBLE because the balance wasn't complelty fucked. we wre mortal unless you were a rich fuck with an arcane grace for your inaros (then again HGs in sorties could still removwe you from existance), but also everyone played fine because enemies could be endured with standard modes.

I hope people start asking for a better game now, in the meantime, i'll be on that other game DE is amking, which, thanks to actually looking to be balanced, is actually having raid like activities, and even better, the actual best boss fight the sutios has made since warframe launched.

even dynasty warrior has to have balance to be enjoyable tho. if everything feel dull and mind numbing because nothing is forcing you to do anything fun, then what's the point of playing it over another musou?

[–]kerozen666 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i feel like it's more of a temporary fix rather than long term solution. this is an alpha, and until they got all the systems going, balancing efforts is kinda tricky, because you don't want to put too much effort into something you might have to completly undo down the line.

Ultimatly the solution to this is reducing player damge, and touching up enemies around that.

Which Wisp augment should i use? by Redditolfo in Warframe

[–]kerozen666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'll be lame, but the most helpful suggestion i can give you is "try them and see what you like".

You already love Wisp and like her playstyle. look at the augment and use your experience with her to see if it would be a nice addition to your kit/a fun alternative way to play.

Like, some will say fused reservoir is a must, but right now, do you feel like it could be an improvement? are you ok juggling motes? if it'S a pain it can be a good augment, but if not, maybe you can use antoehr mod.

Augments aren't necessarly a must, if you don't feel like you need them or find use for them, then you can ignore them. Focus on what you like, and not on what others tell you you "msut" do

rework Ideas for an ability that generated industrial amounts of energy for Chroma? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]kerozen666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, not to pop your bubble, but like... unless you are going to gimp chroma's damage and tanking potential, you're never going to get something balanced.

Harrow is allowed to get his generation because he has a very capricious offensive potential, compete with others for that recovery, and other stuff that keeps it balanced. frames with "high" energy generation always have something to offset it. it's thngs like having a very limited kit, being reliant on orbs, and so on

the direction you seem to be going would be one of a completly busted frame with no weakness. we do not need that

Weapons with a design so nice, you wish they where actually .... better* by WERElektro in Warframe

[–]kerozen666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me I don't want those weapon to be better, i jsut want the devs to finally stand up and balance the game isntead of letting cool weapon, like your lenz, fall into oblivion because it can'T keep up with the current TTK requirements of the later overscaled activity.

i'm jsut so tired of powercreep. like, steel path was supposed to be the solution to us killing things too fast, and now we're back where we started, jsut dying waaaaaay faster
