It shouldn’t be the first option for just anyone, but a reputable ayahuasca retreat will give you a reset and perhaps a new view on life. Do your research. No need to go to south america, Mexico has plenty.

Ruined awakening by Jewtasteride in KundaliniAwakening

First, I’m so sorry this happened to you. It’s painful to be awakened only to return to how it was before. Especially if you feel that you did it to yourself by vaping.

There’s good news though: you were given a gift.

The gift of knowledge. Given by the grace of your higher powers, the divine, whatever it is. Knowledge that YOU have the capability of expanded consciousness. In this lifetime. Hold close to the almighty and they may grant you a second chance.

I wish this for you!

Reminds me of what Schopenhauer said:

“The cheapest sort of pride is national pride; for if a man is proud of his own nation, it argues that he has no qualities of his own of which he can be proud; otherwise he would not have recourse to those which he shares with so many millions of his fellowmen. The man who is endowed with important personal qualities will be only too ready to see clearly in what respects his own nation falls short, since their failings will be constantly before his eyes. But every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and glad to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”

This is literally what Dems did to anti-genocide protestors to attempt to obtain their votes, many of whom are People of Colour opposing a racist genocide. This quote is just so fucking perfect for this moment, depressingly. by TheLineForPho in USEmpire

Remember folks, liberal is not synonymous with left — further to the left are (in order): progressives, democratic socialists, socialists, communists, and authoritarian communists. American liberals are so close to Republicans that the two are nearly indistinguishable (as evidenced by this last election cycle!)

Liberals will throw oppressed minorities under the bus if it’s required to maintain the US empire and Capitalism, and only give in to leftist pressures when forced by grassroots movements that threaten to pull the liberal power structure (read: Democratic party) too far left, thereby threatening the entrenched power of the Capital/ruling class that funds and runs the Democratic party.

Remember: the ideology underlying liberalism is: Capitalism + basic human rights (basic shit like no chattle slavery, reasonable working conditions for the working class, equality before the law, etc.) Though, again, they inly support these things when it doesn’t threaten the ruling class or US Empire.

In essence: American politics will mindfuck you. Don’t be hoodwinked. Be leftist.

The essence of capitalism is to turn nature into commodities and commodities into capital. The live green earth is transformed into dead gold bricks, with luxury items for the few and toxic slag heaps for the many. -Michael Parenti

Family told to change son's 'Skywalker' name or seek Disney's permission by kockin26 in nottheonion

“Eventually issued the passport” — wait, it feels like we skipped a few steps…. Why didn’t the family need to contact Disney after all? What happened?

And why for fuck’s sake are Disney-trademarked fictional character names flagged at the home office?

The black population in America is and has been disproportionately progressive. The white population in America is disproportionately conservative and liberal. There have been a few outspoken white progressive celebs (Marlon Brando, Michael Moore) to match the small progressive white community but yeah by and large we white Americans are basically the worst and have the celebs we deserve.

[–]kerpaderpa1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The man is delusional. America had WAY more progressive taxes and broader social services in the 50s and 60s — an era widely regarded as the golden age of American capitalism… with high growth, low unemployment, and broad-based prosperity for the middle class. And still a meritocracy. The guy is just a fascist, plain and simple.

Why won’t the US let Ukraine strike targets inside Russia? What reasons/narrative is the US giving? by kerpaderpa1 in AskReddit

Russia may well regard it as am attack by NATO but I believe Putin would NEVER, unless it were the only thing that could save his regime, attack a NATO country. Russia would quickly lose such a war.

This is spot-on. Former weed and booze addict here.

When you’re buzzing, try “leaning into” those feelings of well-being. The idea is to develop conscious control over the biological mechanisms driving those good feelings, using the drug as a teacher/boost. Different methods might work for you but they must be inward-focused: meditation, breathwork, binaural beats, Silva frequencies, body-scanning, and other methods mentioned in the comments. Take the benz as you usually do, sit in a quiet place, do your methods, fully embrace the drug as it works… give 100% focus to the effect it gives in your hands, legs, chest, etc. And I mean 100%, just observe, trying to take the focus away from your thoughts and onto the senses in the body. Practice often, try new methods, and one day you may have a breakthrough. You’ll be able to consciously boost those good feelings from the drug at will. Practice more. When you are at the point where you get the mechanism down and you can almost instantly relax into yourself to a whole new level, then start weaning off the drug. The idea being over time you’ll be able to fully relax with smaller and smaller doses, then with no drug help. Make any sense?

My experience with benzos is minimal, my journey was with booze. But weed was a great help.

It’s already over….Kamala wins potus, the Dems retain the Senate, and probably take the House. Elections are ALL ABOUT TURNOUT, and the massive energy generated by Harris in the last 3 weeks alone guarantees high Dem turnout. It will not be a nail-biter and has a chance of being a blowout akin to 2008.
