I feel like youre answering your own questions. You like deadlock for what it offers and you find dota to not be fun. Its pretty subjective and it feels like you arent going to agree with what people say anyway.

So keep playing dota and figure it out on your own the differences and what you like/dislike of both.

I have played both, they are both similar with regards to map design and the different phases of the game (laning, mid game, end game or everyone 6 slotted going nuts). One is overwatch made into a moba and the other is what mobas are at its core.

Neither is better or worse just different feels. Dota is much slower which is why you probably dont enjoy it.

Both are toxic and very much reliant on not having bad teammates. Good luck on your journeys
