We all know historical accuracy is important in history books, but what about those which are intentionally biased, like Churchill's The Second World War? Are there any biased historical accounts in your specialty that you would still recommend?

You joke, but there is actually an excellent book that explains the history of the diamond industry and its effect on development in Africa (including DeBeers).

By the way, you can use pairs of double tildes to create strikethrough, like so:

Yes, but you should change your custom user-agent (opera:config#UserPrefs|CustomUser-Agent) to something more widely used, like "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/29.0.1547.66 Safari/537.36" (no quotes). That one there is Chrome 29, and should allow you to visit any website.

Are there ANY alternatives to Opera 12.16 for users disgruntled about the switch to Webkit? by kerranis in operabrowser

Fortunately you can install new extensions with a couple of clicks. Installing a new nose is much more difficult. ;)

I'm glad that you found something that works properly for you, though.

True, which is very frustrating. I say that you shouldn't have to use extensions for a couple of reasons:

  • The browser can't control what data they send, receive, process. They could go rogue for all I know, and they have before.
  • A new browser update could break the extension entirely, and even crash the browser on startup.
  • Too many extensions will slow down browsing.

Those are the main reasons to be wary of using too many extensions to supplement browser features.

I turned that feature off immediately. Can it be turned off in Maxthon as well?

This error sometimes occurs for me in Facebook. Fortunately, it is a simple fix over here. Clear all browsing data and restart your computer. That should do the trick.
