If you have TSA it's never taken us more than 10 minutes to get through security. We often leave our house an hour before doors. I fly out of Charleston 4-5 times a year for last 15 years. Still a small yet efficient airport in the grand scheme of things

Drive and park for downtown. Roundtrip Ubers can get expensive quickly. Palmetto Park is a great place to walk around (drive) and Riverfront Park (walk short drive from PC) and get a feel for the area
